I can't find a counsellor

I have down Lipotrim & the cambridge diet before so i know all about VLCDs.
I lost loads of weight before but have put it all back on again + some more:cry:

I saw a cambridge counsellor for 1 month but then stopped going & i'm now about 4st heavier than when i saw him.

I am way too embarrassed to go & see him again so have tried to find another counsellor.
I emailed one who only sees people on a wed evening at a drama school. This is no good to me i can't travel there & have 4 young kids at home in bed at that time.
I emailed another one & asked his prices & what days & times he sees people. He said to call him to talk about it. I emailed back & explained that i have a phone phobia  & really can't talk on the phone. He replied & said i must call him as its essential when on this diet. I can't do that, i had already explained that, so he's a no go either.

I've emailed another person but haven't heard back from them yet. I can't travel too far + i need to be back in time for my son whos at nursery p/t & my other 2 who finish at 3.20.

No one wants to help me :(

I need to do something about my weight asap & i don't know what to do.

I can see why people buy off of ebay, as i've found 2 counsellors who clearly weren't very understanding of my needs..... before anyone takes offense i know not all counsellors are like that :D
Not that i would consider buying off of ebay.

I don't know what to do

:needhug:

Whereabouts do you live?

There are lots of CDCs who use this site, and maybe there might be one near to you who can help.

I'm sure you'll be fine :)

I live in West London, W14.

Im so depressed about my weight & i'm ruining my life being like this. I want to change & be 'me' again.

Hi Daisy,

Just wanted to say that it might be worth getting in touch with old CDC. I know you feel bad for gaining but my CDC has been really supportive and understanding as I have gained weight recently too.

Just a thought.

Go back to your old counsellor, he will be completely understanding, that is what they are trained for. You won't be the first client he has had fall off the wagon and you won't be his last.

Whenever I used to fall off the wagon when attending slimming groups (and its been many times, let me tell you!! lol), I always felt the same as you....too afraid/ashamed/embarrassed to go back to the same one.
However, in more recent years, I have viewed it differently.
People that choose to help others in their quest to loose weight probably expect a certain amount of 'clients' to fall off completely, never to be seen again...then there are the people that struggle but carry on regardless and cope with the weekly ups and downs and lastly, the ones that sometimes fall but after a time, decide to give it another go. Theres nothing wrong with that and personally I think, all the time you are trying/rejoining, you are not giving up!
Also don't forget, its an income/job for the CDC and other weight loss leaders, so without us peeps that keep going back, where would they be?;)
Please don't take that last comment the wrong way all you CDC out there, its just my way of justifying keeping on going back!!

You know your old CDC is not there to juge you and you know he will be more than happy to help , tell me what you think the CDC will say ? i'm sure he will be very understanding :)

Its just embarrassing, for him to know not only did i drop off of the CD but that i've also gained loads of weight
Also i was like 'yeah this is so easy' :break_diet:
My heart wasn't fully in it & for various reasons i've eaten my way back to fat-dom :ashamed0005:

this bloke your cdc has seen this time and time again ... just make the call , if he makes any wise cracks report him ... but i'm sure he won't 100 % sure , after all my CDC has seen me 3 times , but hey i'm another customer :)

Totally agree with the other posters, go back to your old cdc. Im sure it will be fine and he will want to help you. Im sure loads of people fall on and off the wagon loads of time dont worry :)

CDC is there to support you. Or you could wear a wig and give a pretend name? Just kidding, don't feel embarrassed, the CDC will be supportive that's what he's trained to do, and as others have said you're helping to provide his income so he will be welcoming! Good luck and I hope you manage to bite the bullet and get back on board xx

Daisy - if you got on well go back to your old CDC. Believe me we don't judge people ... so no need to feel embarrassed.

I understand how you feel, I lost 4stone, became a CDC and have since put 3stone back on. I feel embarrassed when I get new clients and feel i have failed CD ... but I haven't as I'm only human and I still help my clients as much as I would if i was slim ... sometimes more as I'm doing the diet with them, side by side.

Please contact your old CDC hun - and get back on the wagon and we'll all encourage you along the way. You haven't failed until you TOTALLY give up!! Good luck!!
