A moment

Hello beautiful people:)

I was just wondering what that moment was when you said to yourself, 'that's it I am losing weight'?

Did something happen or did you just decide one day to lose weight.

Thanks!

Have a great day

Cheers

Well for me I had decided I was going to kick the ex out, so I started losing weight to give me more confidence to get on with my life as a single parent....as I was 26 stone before dieting I felt I needed to start losing before I felt strong enough to do the deed.

Now my life is soo different and wouldnt change a thing

I'd been thinking about it for AGES (about 3 years and trying unsuccessfully), but when the scale hit 14 stone 7 and my size 16s didn't fit anymore (so I was wearing about 3 sets of clothes on a cycle), and I worked out that my horse wasn't capable of carrying me properly any more (he groaned when I got on), and seeing a picture of me with my mates and not recognising myself.....

All these things came together in one week and I though "That's IT!". I rang LL the next day and started the following week. If only I'd done it sooner!

Hi,

Good thread.

Mine was the traditional holiday snap. I looked at the photo and didn't recognise myself anymore, also having recently been diagnosed with PCOS, losing weight eases the symptoms.

:wave_cry:This is my first post on this forum, I had this moment today!
Well to be honest I'm a bit desperate, went to the doctors and despite being on a diet for months I have managed to gain 10kilos in 5 months! :cry::cry:

I have been on slimfast for 2 weeks and haven't noticed any change, sure there is something medically wrong with me!

I'm not a tall person and I'm bulging out of size 16 clothes, I do not look good with extra weight at all!

Well I have been depressed over my weight for years and tried numerous diets. Seriously considered having surgery to stop my compulsive eating and even got an appointment via my doctor with a clinic, but ponder for a year.

My friend arrived 4 stone lighter and told me about LL. I sat down with my husband and told him that I had enough and was going for the operation, but would try LL first. I didnt hold much hope as I had already tried CD and fell off the wagon after a month. He was wholly supported and offered to pay half the fees.

I can say I have never looked back, started 20.1.07 now lost 3 stone and feel for the first time in my life I can carry this out till the end.

Old age nearly 60 and the thought of falling over, which old people do and my husband not being able to get me off the floor added to it. Plus I couldnt wipe my bum properly (sorry to be so crude but its true) and I couldnt paint or cut my own toe nails.

Happy to say all been achieved now.:)
