Questions about starting CD

Hi guys,

I need to lose 85 pounds by 23 March or at least a figure close to that as my boyfriend is coming home after just over a year away and I have used that time to eat too much.

I have seen people on this forum achieve amazing weight-loss doing the CD and I wondered how much it costs to do it? I know there is a counselor close to where I live but I would be embarrassed call and then find out it was too pricey.

Emma...if you are too embarrassed to ask questions now, what plan do you have for a) actually starting the diet and b) when things don't go to plan when life gets in the way. Your relationship with your CDC starts from the moment you pick up the phone to make that first phone call.

It is difficult to say on here what the price will be because each CDC charges according to the level of service they offer and are quite within their rights to do so. What I can tell you is that the RRP for Cambridge is currently £34.55 (that may be an approximation rather than the exact figure!) and some CDC's charge this and some charge more.

To be honest, Emma, from what you say I would suggest that you bite the bullet, make the call, start the journey. You may not lose 85lbs but you can still lose a significant amount by Easter. Embarrassment doesn't phase us, because we've seen and heard it all many times before. So be open with your CDC - that is what we are here for, to help you, support you and believe in you even when you don't believe in yourself (this one I know from personal experience! ;)).After all what is the alternative when your fella comes home??

Good luck, hun...:)

Thank you Diva! Wow that is so much cheaper than I thought it would be. I assumed it would be a few hundred as everyone seems to be doing so well on it Thank you for making my day! I am going to go call now!

Excellent....remember that is the weekly fee but its still cheaper than a week of takeaways, alcohol, sweets and basically overeating! ;)

Keep us posted on how you get on...
