Last day on lipotrim

Tomorrow should be my last day on lipotrim (in case you did not read the title) and I thought I would just share my experiences with this diet - sorry for the long post to come.

I first went on it about 18 months ago because I was 18 stone and my blood pressure was through the roof. 185/110 and my doctor wanted to put me on tablets if I did not lose weight.

I went on the diet for the first time and was amazed when I lost 4.5 stone in about 8 weeks (woo woo for being a bloke:))

My blood pressure dropped to normal (130/80) and I was made up.

But then when I finished I went straight back to overeating and binging and over the next 12 months put about 3.5 stone back on. Not woo woo

So in June I decided to get back on the dieting horse instead of eating it, and lost 3 stone in about 8 weeks. :) :)

I then managed to maintain it for 3 months or so, including over Christmas (something I never thought I would be able to do).

I did this by calorie counting on my PC. I tried to keep to about 2500 cals per day, and if I binged a bit, then I would cut down over the next few days to try to keep it even over the week.

I found that I can eat everything I wanted and not put weight on. IF I BALANCED IT OUT. The Paul McKenna cds helped a lot as well.

Then after Christmas I thought I would try to get down to my real dream goal of 11 stone and lose the last 2 stone or so.

Back on Lipotrim for a month.

I am now only a pound above my target. I really can't believe that I would ever have got there. In fact my target kept going lower because I thought I would not be able to do it, and was amazed when I reached it.

This has to be the best diet in the world (and this the best forum) I do not post very much, but visit here every day and the people on here have been an inspiration to me.

If you are doing this to lose weight keep at it. IT DOES WORK. It took me 3 stages to get here, but it ios sooooo worth sticking to it.

My blood pressure is now 118/76 and I feel the best I have ever felt since leaving school in 1980.

from 18 stone to 11
from tight 42" to 30" waist
from 186/110 to 118/76

If I can do it when I never in my wildest dreams thought I would get there, anyone can. Just keep going and you will get there.

Thanks everyone on here for the support oner the last 18 months. I just have to keep it off now, although what I have learned about myself and from this forum since I had my first shake will almost certainly help me to keep it off.

Cheers, and many thanks

Gray.

WOO WOO WOO a million!
:D:D:D
Gosh you must feel amazing, totally hats off to you for keeping on keeping on this crazy little thing called weight loss. I agree keeping it off IS THE most tricky part (stick with the forum!- Im on day 2 of restart, gained almost 2 stone having lost almost 5!! and the forums helping already..distraction!)
;)
Whats the calorie counting on PC, is there a special website??
Thanks for your post, really inspiring to know we can get there in the end eh!!

Hi 4real. It really is an amazing feeling - like buying a new car or something.

I use a program called calorie king. It is an American program, but you can just put in the calories from the label of any food, or get the info from the internet.

I just put in the calories, carbs and protein of the stuff I eat most of, and basic things like weetabix and skimmed milk I save as breakfast. Then I just drag the meal or food into my daily record and it does the rest.

If I did not do this I would overeat loads. It is great when you just enter your shakes and it tells you that you have over 2000 calories left, and that you will lose 1.5 stone over the next month if you stick with it.

I just wish I had a record of what I used to eat. I am sure I would not believe the number of calories I would eat during the course of a day.

The internet is a good source of information as well. 80 cals for a biscuit and I could eat a packet in one go  :( 8 cans of cola as well. There is my allowance gone and I would not think I had eaten anything.

NO MORE.

Looking forward to a piece of chicken on Friday.

What can I say? But a huge wow and well done, you must truly fel like a new person, you have certainly inspired me and I bet everyone that reads your message. Too many of us think that losing the weight is the hard work but in actual fact its probably easier than keeping it off, just stay strong minded and love and cherish your new body, you'll be grand Gray! Oh and am with Lizzyb... buy that car!

Well done.

Fantastic news, well done on getting to your goal weight......this site is a big help in support but you have done the hard work.......Good luck in maintaining, maybe you should start a maintenance diary....!!

You have done sooooooooooooo well.

Not only on the total weight loss, but you managed to maintain for three months in the middle which is the tough part (mind you this losing weight part isn't exactly a breeze!!!). I think after gaining most of it back the first time has made you realise that its not going to happen again.......so in the long run it was still be a woo woo as you learned from your mistakes.

A huge well done and thanks for posting such a great thread.
:D

Hi Jan.

Sorry to hear about your blood pressure. I was sceptical about my weight being such a factor with my high BP. Everyone in my family had high BP and I just thought it was hereditary.

However when I got down to about 14 stone my BP went down to normal and no-one was more surprised than me.

When I put the weight back on and went back to 16.10 my BP went up again, but not quite as high, and it dropped back down when I went back on lipotrim.

I hope yours gets better. If you can stick to the diet it can only help.

All the best.

Graham
