Soooo excited just ordered my fitbit its a birthday pressie from hubbie and bday isnt until end of month but hopefully i'll be able to have it straight away.

How many steps should i be looking at averaging? any tips to get extra in?

3 days a week i walk my daughter to school and back but thats only 1/2mile each way.
 
I've got one its fab! I'm more aware of how lazy I can be .. I also know that when I walk more the weight comes off quicker! Lol

The calories burned is roughly correct, after all your body has to burn quite a few calories just to keep you alive. I think there's a setting where you can change how it estimates but can't remember where! :)
 
Ooooooh I so want one..... next buy i think.... after i have forgotten i've just spent on rainers for crossfit lol...

They look really cool maybe I need to smile swewtly at my bf as he likes to spoil me from time to time lol.

Sounds like a great walk I've walked and jogged with a friend along sand bay weathers too nice not to :)
 
Don't think I've told anyone before ;) I love my Fitbit.

Just been along the sea front,through town,pass Tesco and down Drove Road about 4 miles.Needed to wear my brunch off.:)

I got a fitbit flex a few weeks ago and I love it, too! I've only made it to 10,000 steps once so far, but hopefully I'll make it again and again now that I know it can be done. Plus, my husband just got one, so I suspect that there'll be a lot of competitive walking in our household :)

Just wish the calories burned was correct.I would stay in bed all day.:)

The calorie burn may well be correct if it has accounted for your basal metabolic rate which is the rate at which your body burns calories in order just to survive. . . I.e for your body to breathe and organs to work etc. The fitter you are, the more muscle you have, the higher your basal metabolic rate will be as your body has to use more energy and burn more calories to sustain your muscles :) hope this helps!
 
My hubby bought me a flex, as a motivator, and I think it's fab linked it to MFP. I've been walking daily for 3 weeks but the scales haven't budged. i have stopped going to the gym, and just spend a few sessions on the TRX each week. Does it take a while to kick in? Or should I increase my steps?
