Just made this cake which has tolerated items in it but is soooo lush you all should try it! Wouldn't if you are stalling but otherwise a nice treat without using your oat bran!

1 tablespoon cocoa
1 tablespoon cornflour
1 egg
1 1/2 tablespoons quark
2 tablespoons sweetner
Mix all together - I used an electric mixer and spooned into a mug, then into microwave for 100 seconds - a bit runny in the middle but a bit like melt in the middle choc pudding!!! NB - I used more sweetener cos I prefer sweet sweet and added vanilla essence.....

ive not tried that variation yet... i have however had my spiced rhubarb mug cake again tonight lol

Thaks Trudy il try this next time i feel cravings

ELlie Hi nice to meet u (virtualy) what is the reciepe for ur rubarb thing...i dont even no what rubarb looks like never seen it eaten or used it..

can u tell me the reciepe and what ot look for when buying it

Rhubarb.jpg

Rhubarb is a plant, grows from the grown with huge green leaves. We only use the red stalks, and its a vegetable. Cooked with sweetner until very soft is lovely. Usually made in a pie or with a crumble top.

I just made something similar to this without the tollerateds. I used....

1 egg
1tbs Quark
Sweetener
Lemon flavouring

Then I nuked it for 2 and a half minutes. It was lovely. I will definitely make it again. I may even use cocoa powder when I get some fresh.

Thanks for the idea.

I use those ingredients to make pancakes. Fry drops of them in the frying pan, is lovely with lemon curd and a drop of quark. Perfect for next weeks pancake day

I made this came out like a brick ....it tasted yum tho i put it in micro too long i thibk xwill try again tmrw

will try nicolas next sounds a lot less dangerous xxx

has anyone tried making this with less cornflour and cocoa. 1tbsp seems a lot to me as I thought we could only have a teaspoon. Although the tolerated list says 20g of cornflour, but that sounds loads. Cocoa powder says 1 coffee spoon which I assume is 1tsp.

Anyone experimented with it x

IF YOUVE NEVER TRIED IT kARIN DONT, ITS SO MORISH ITS TOOK ME ALL MY WILLPOWER NOT TO HAVE IT AGAIN TONIGHT LIKE YOU SAID TOO MANY TOLLERATED. SORRY FOR UPPER CASING. SORRY FOR WARNING AGAISNT THIS BUT COULD TRIGGER 'NEEDS'

I'll steer clear then hun, thanks for the warning. really don't need anything scuppering my efforts now, I am not going to give in to the yum yums LOL.

Desperate for a sugar fix yesterday, and climbing the walls, I had a go at this recipe.

I reduced the low fat chocolate to 1 teaspoon (1 tolerated) though
1 tablespoon cornflour (1 tolerated)
1 egg
1 1/2 tablespoons quark
2 tablespoons sweetner
Mixed together, 1 minute in microwave... saw it was set around the edges but too runny in middle, so did a further 30 seconds. Then let it cool (as someone else suggested above). all together - I used

Delicious. A real treat. And 2 tolerated ingredients are ok once in a while (I tell myself!) and infinitely better than my joining my husband on his snack trend!
