Flying with packs??

A few years ago when I did LL I travelled a few times with packs in my suitcase and had no problems... I'm now doing Cambridge and still travelling, but just wondered if anyone had had any problems travelling with packs in their suitcase?? I've only got Europe trips coming up, hopefully won't have any US trips while I'm doing this, but thinking of taking my pot of water flavouring and worried that it could be mistaken for something dodgy ~ a pot of white powder

I asked about this for my hols in April.

We can take the bars in hand-luggage but not the tetras. I would think it would be safer to put the shakes and powders into our hold luggage

I think porgeous took a load of tetras on hols with her once, and im almost positive she put them in her hold luggage :D

The tetras are over 100mls so are not allowed in hand luggage - the tetras travel well in the hold, though, put them in a carrier - just in case.

Thanks guys! Was just wondering about them x-raying the suitcase - not taking anything other than a bar in hand luggage...
For one of the trips (they are all for work) it is a trade show so I can ship stuff beforehand with our kit, just don't want to get hauled up somewhere and asked to explain myself!

I've never had a problem. I travelled with to Barbados, American with packs and bars in my main luggage. I've known people to take them to Jamacia and Australia with no problem. Always declare what you have ( don't want to get a fine) It maybe a good idea take an empty box if taking pack cause it list the ingredience.

I've never travelled with them, but heard the Tetra expand under the pressure and could burst.

Hi there

I went to Gozo earlier in the year and also Barcelona and both times took Tetras in my hold luggage no problem.

Gx

do you mind me asking where you heard that? I'm going away soon and had hoped to bring tetra's in my suitcase omg what if they burst!!! :)

I'm off to Egypt and was thinking of taking the powder packs in suitcase in the hold - will that be ok?

Anyone been there with packs?

I fly pretty frequently with work, and the 100ml hasn't changed. What has changed from SOME airports is that you can now take 2 bags on, but only from and to some airports... You still need all toiletries in a clear small bag and no more than 100ml per bottle.
The BAA website is the best place for checking this kind of thing...
