giving up

Champix is good my other half is using that. Im going cold turkey. I found that when i have tried to give up before others were pushing me into it etc, however this time it was soley my decision i woke up and decided that was it i was feed up having to spray myself in perfume because noone else at work smoked and brush my teeth again and wash my hands every time i had one. the first few days are the hardest butonce you get through them you start to not think about it. I also did things to replace the time i would have them the first week the house was spotless!! now i go running, walk the dog, swimming, meet friends which is easier as not many of them smoke. I also started slimming world again before i started to put on weight my first weigh in is next week and when i gave up smoking to now i only put on a pound so it wasnt too bad but pounds make stones. You could also try getting the nhs non smoking app or go online and read about it and focus on the timeline to help you get through it plus it has interesting facts :) hope that helps a little

My advice would be go your Doctors and see a nurse for stopping smoking. Not only do you get patches/gum/inhalator/spray or champix. You will also have weekly appointments to keep up to and it will give you a goal.

Good luck with that I'm planning to give up on Thursday ! (he said quietly...)

Well i haven't managed to give up completely yet but have cut down. Ive decided that tomorrow is the day. Im going to try and go cold turkey as i don't smoke that much in the day but it's the evening that i struggle with if that doesn't work i will go to my doctors and see about getting champix as alot of people ive spoken too have suggested them. ;)
