Weight watcher/calories counting/think thin diet.

Good morning.

Well I thought I would bite the bullet and start a weight loss diary and then hopefully you lovely people will motivate and help me stay on track.

I started ww week before last and have lost 4lbs so far (so current weight 13st 8). The first week was a massive learning curve, this week just gone I feel I got more to grips with it but still had hiccups.

This week I am combining my fitness pal calories (aiming for 1270) and ww pro points (I'm allowed 31 a day). I hope this will help me not go over my dailies and when I do have a treat day not to over indulge.

A little but about me. I'm Lucy. I've struggled with my weight all my life but I put on a bit at uni so want to ideally be 10 st 7. I am currently doing teacher training and working part time, my routine isn't great which doesn't help with the dieting.

Any followers/ support would be much appreciated

I have done well today.

I have only used one of my weeklies. This was purely by accident, I had 4 Jaffa cakes after tea which are a point each but 4 is 5 points. Completely foxed me.

On the calorie side of things I went 66 calories over but I can deal with that.

It's my first day doing both so don't think it went too bad :)

Fingers crossed for the rest of the week

Xx

here to follow :) xox

Where the smiley in the sunglasses is was suppose to be an 8 then ) so I'm 13st 8 but it put it as the smiley haha 8)

Thank you everyone :)

Watching the comic relief bake off. This may not be a good idea haha

Just started watching it. Given that I don't eat sugar I'm hoping it doesn't trigger a desire to eat some!

ha ha well done :) your in the zone xox

I hope it remains that way. Have to keep all my weeklies for a night out Saturday, cutting down to 3 Jaffa cakes after tonight's revelation haha
What's the lowest points/calorie alcohol?x

hhhhmmm I love jaffa cakes :).

the lowest pp alcohol I know is vodka and a diet drink like coke/lemonade and nostalgia other spirits are 2pp per shot :). or the 100 calorie Bacardi breezers are 3pp each, but for 3 it's 10pp just like the jaffa cake revelation lol, hope this helps a little. xox

That does help thank you. I'm a sailor jerrys type of girl but may have to go with vodka.

Bit of a hiccup today. My manager went out and bought us hot choc from Starbucks. Tastes lovely but it's still 5 pp (she said it was skinny and there was no cream). Will be over on my calories but still have 14 pp left for tea so it's not too bad.

Thinking of attempting a Jamie Oliver style sausage pasta for tea with my ww sausages-wish me luck haha xx

Still waiting for my tea to cook But have used all my points today :) not gone over. And have 20 calories left which I am happy about.

Anybody have any suggestions for low point breakfast/ cereal bars? I have harvest chewee bars at 3 points at the mo but they are getting boring.

Hopefully if I carry on like this I won't be scared about wi on Monday xx

I like Alpen Light bars - I'm not on WW though so I don't know pp values unfortunately :(

I agree the alpen light bars are delicious I especially like the cherry bakewell flavour, the light ones are all 2pp each.

how have u been getting on? how did your Jamie Oliver style sausage pasta go? xox

Here to follow!

Thank you smurfette.

I did okay yesterday. I stuck within my points and was just under my calories but now I have got to grips with my counting and staying within I am looking for healthier choices. So have replaced all my pasta/rice with the brown variety (GI so will keep me fuller for longer), have bought the options hot choc's (someone suggested these but not tried them yet) and bought the extra light Philly (1pp) and bought crisps that are only 2pp (rarely eat crisps but incase I fancy a savoury snack)

The pasta sausage turned out great! Was 10pp. Was an adaption of Jamie Oliver's 15 min meals (the guys a genius) I just took the sausages out of the skin and put in the processor with onion and peppers, cooked that, added passata and 50g of pasta. Put in the oven with 40g of ww cheese on top and there you go! I may add spinach or rocket next time.

He has some fab recipes, instead of putting cream in his soup he puts rice in there, when blended makes the soup creamy but without the calories of cream!

How's everyone else getting on?xx
