Hey everybody! After weeks of reading all your posts and inspiring pictures I finally joined today :) :) had a maple and peacon porridge this morning that was so gross!! Jus had the chilli soup wasn't that bad actually! Anyway just thought I'd join you all and say hi :)
 
Hi Lisa and welcome to your CWP journey :) It'll be a crazy rollercoaster of emotions but stick with it and you will see amazing results!!!!

How much do you want to lose and are you SSing? I'm doing the 1200 plan so my losses are expectedly slower than everyone elses but hey it works for me and that's all that matters :) What other flavours have you got to try? I find that the shakes are often better made with 12oz of chilled water, turns them into a very lush frothy milkshake. The tetras (choc) are VERY nice topped up with hot water to turn them into a hot chocolate and when you're allowed the bars do try the new lemon one that's yummy too oh and water flavourings (again when allowed) are often a life saver with ensuring you get the right volume down :)

I'm on SS this week but can change to SS+ if I find it to hard. I've been given all the flavours to try so hopefully there will be some I like! I think I would like to lose around 7 stone... God that sounds alot but am just gonna take it day by day. It seems so strange not having food, I do feel I would Stick to it better on SS+ but that could just be my mind playing tricks on me already!! Just a small evening meal seems to keep things abit more normal. Sorry to waffle am so new to it all. Thanks for the tips am gonna make a choc shake soon!
 
7st does feel like a lot, ive lost 6 since March which certainly isnt as fast as others but still is a LOT of weight to have lost in 9 months so i'm very proud of myself and cant imagine how on earth i was 6stones heavier if that makes sense. Ive just had my lovely choc mint as a late lunch.

The good thing abou the choice of adding a meal means you're less likely to stray, try to stick to protein based foods if you do feel the need to eat ie meats or eggs, scrambled egg made with skimmed milk will do a grand job of filling you up and wont affect ketosis!!! Need to be careful coz a lot of veggies have carbs in them so can affect ketosis, dark green tend to have very little or none but make sure you're reading packets and keeping an eye on both carb content and fat content.

Have you set yourself any little target goals and are you going to make sure you treat yourself say every 10lbs or every 1st to a non food treat to keep you motivated?
 
WOW 6 stone is amazing!!! You should be so proud. How much more do u want to lose? My first mini goal is obviously the first stone :/ would like to shift this in 2 weeks if poss. Ive only ever lose 5lb on WW in my first week so on this diet should be eaaassssy. I defo will b treating myself every stone! Im worried about saggy skin with 7 stone to lose but hopefully drinking water and exercise should prevent this. Oh I'm 23 by the way so hoping age is on my side too :) thanks for all Ur advice!!!
 
Still got another just shy of 3st to lose til my first goal of 14st then want to lose another 21lbs on top of that to take me to a healthy BMI, i'm 30 in MArch this yr and want to be overweight and not obese by then haha. I think everyone worries about saggy skin but i'm now at the point where i'm thinking i'd rather have a bit of sgaggin than putting health at risk and it can take 2yrs for skin to snap back after a significant weight loss but at 23 i'd imagine you're in with a good chance :)

Have you ever done a VLCD before? I would be surprised if you didnt lose at least 6-8lbs in first week, most likely in the double figures as you want to lose a lot :)
 
No never done this type of diet before. Have done WW and Sw and tried the dukan last year but never get more than a stone off. My friend got me Into this 1. Shes lost 5 stone in 5 months, but I need to get healthy, I hate being this big I'm constantly in black clothes and alway have that horrible wardrobe disaster on nights out! I have a nice pair or summer shorts hanging up that r about a size 14 so am hoping to get into them! Secretly hoping they will be to big for me 1 day :)
 
Wow that's brilliant, this diet certainly is good at those big losses which are usually enough to spur people on to stick with it. Have you got good support around you to keep you to plan?

Ive made myself a chart on countdown til my 30th with a plan to cross off each day and hubby has been told NO TREAT NIGHTS until my birthday. Bit more difficult with my 2yr old who thinks she should feed me her teas but we're getting there lol. I'm sure those shorts will be too big for you before the end of summer, they do say an average of 1st a month so say by july/august, sept at the latest you should be at goal!!!!
 
Wow hearing people say I should b at goal this year alone puts a big smile on my face! I will put some pictures on here when I've lost abit and feel brave! I do have some good support from my family and my partner. My friends just think im on a diet but prob won't remember so hopefully will get the compliments in a couple of months :) I'm defo considering SS+ thou as long as I have a steady weight loss I'll be happy and just sitting with a small meal in the evening could be just what i need to keep me motivated. I don't wanna let my Consultant down thou as she really thinks i should stick with the SS :/

Just wanted to say good luck, some people need a small meal and if you want to go for it! Im sure your consultant would rather you were happy and loosing weight rather than you not enjoying it and being tempted to cheat x

as Kim has said the weight losses are incredibly similar from SS to SS+ or even 810 coz its still a VERY VERY low number of calories so the weight HAS to come off :)

Havre you made sure to take a before pic for you to keep? I forgot that bit but well there are lots of hideous pics somewhere haha. Helps to take a pic every stone lost then you can compare the difference. Also keep 1 item of clothing from when you were at your biggest so you can do one of those fab pics at the end where 2 of ur would fit in it hehe. Ive kept a pair of size 26trouers i used to wear for work cant believe how i was so big and didnt realise!!!!
 
Hello :) yeah I'll keep my work trousers for when in finished would love to be able to get into 1 leg lol.
Day 2 today- got a slight head ache but not to bad. Had the mint choc shake made hot this Morn that was nice. And a strawberry carton for lunch, feels like I'm constantly drinking, may make a nice chicken salad for dinner that's something to look forward to! Hope your Friday is going well!!! Roll on the summer when I can wear a dress :) :) :)
 
Lisa glad to hear your 2nd day have been uneventful. Headaches are normal in the first few days, make sure you're drinking enough water and if u need to you can take some Paracetamol but avoid the capsules as they might be sugar coated. Have you got anything nice planned for the weekend? I'm in work 12hrs tomoz meep :( but on Sun got my best mate coming round with her 2 beautiful kids so they should keep my LO entertained for a few hrs hehe :)
 
Wahooo I've made day 2! But feel abit rough like I've got a cold. I did have a chicken salad for dinner which was sooo nice and had made me feel abit better. Did make OH chicken fajitas and chips for dinner cry cry cry! That was hard but made myself busy by making my dinner and by the time I finished he'd ate all his but was sooo tempting not to nick a chip! Not much plans this weekend, gonna meet up with friends tomorrow for a film and catch up then staying indoors Sunday with OH mite cook us a roast but no goodies for me :( chicken and veg lol. Hope u have a great weekend and thanks for keeping me going x
 
Morning Lisa and well done for getting through day 2 unscathed, it's onwards and upwards or rather downwards from here on in. Well done for resisting the dinner last night :) Don't you feel ever so slightly superior not giving in hehe.

Day 3 almost done :) how am I doing this??? Just had my chicken salad.
I didn't go cinema but wanted to see life of pi.
Other half wanted a full English for dinner which looked amazing!!!!! Cor will power is starting to kick in Now. All I think about is food all day long at the moment Driving me crazy :) happy Saturday x
 
WEll done Lisa on another day and YES for that brilliant will power :) Must be a funny ole day for temptations, ive had chick tizza fresh made batons under my nose and when i got home from work i almost ate a big handful of chilli peanuts but decided to throw the whole tub in the bin instead.
What's it meant to be about the life of Pi? I don't get the whole fascination with it

DAY 4- well not that hungry today :) wahoo thing is I'm not even fancying my shakes so think I'm gonna be better off on the ready made shakes as there so easy and taste lush! had the choc orange powder yesterday- so gross.
Had a peek on the scales yesterday 3lbs down but not sure if they differ from other 1s.
Well done on not eating the peanuts there so fattening!!!
