My 100lb countdown

Hi,

I have lurked on these boards for sometime so I thought it was time to bite the bullet and create my own diary.
I have followed weight watchers on and off for a while but have decided to go with calorie counting this time. I have lost 3 stone but put about a stone back on over the last few months.

I am determined that 2013 is going to be the year that I finally crack weight loss once and for all. I hope that you will help and support me in my journey.

I am pretty unfit but have been doing the walk at home dvds which i've found really good and you dont need massive amounts of co-ordination which is often my problem with workout dvds!

I have set myself a target of walking 30 miles this month and I have already managed 8 so quite pleased with myself. I'd like to lose at least 7lb this month but will see how that goes as I know from past experience that I tend to be a slow and steady loser, every bit of weight loss is a step in the right direction so i'll be happy no matter what the results.

Well day 4 and still pretty much on track. Eat a bit over my calories yesterday but going to do some extra exercise this evening to make up for it.
I love my breakfasts and usually have poached egg on toast but decided to change things round a bit and have cereal the last two days. Not a good idea for me as I have been ready to eat my own arm by about 11am each day!

Back on the poached egg tomorrow and hopefully a better day hunger wise.
 
Had poached egg and definitely didnt feel so hungry. Managed to get some more exercise in today so well under on the calorie count, fingers crossed it shows on the scales on Saturday morning.
 
Just thought i'd pop by and say well done for taking the step here again I've got 119lb to lose so will be around for awhile lol
Well done on all the walking I am going to start making a effort next week to start on some sort of exercise especially as i joined the january challenge today for a loss of 10lbs this month ekk lol

Week 1 weigh in and I lost 5lb. I'm over the moon with that as I'm a slow loser and I dont think I've ever lost that amount in a week! Just proves that my efforts this week were worthwhile and hopefully this is a spring board to great things!
 
Another day and finally got back to doing some exercise. OH has the flu so I've not managed to do any exercising since wednesday. I was determined to get back to it today and I did so another minor success!

Food choices have not been great the last few days but still managed to stay within calories, tried planning out meals for the rest of the week so hopefully that might help.
 
Woo hoo well done on the 5lb loss hun thats great and your only 2lb away from your target of 7lb by the end of the month somehow i think you are going to smash that goal :D
Planning for the week ahead is a good idea food wise i really need to do this to i think so much better if you have it planned ahead of time less chance of taking the wrong option.
Keep up the great work hun your doing amazingly :) x
 
Thanks madmuppet! Another day on track today and some more exercise done so feeling good.Hopefully this continues for the rest of the week!

Starting to bore myself with how virtuous i've been - just hope the scales reflect that on saturday!

Exercised again last night so have managed to pass my January goal of 30 miles already, very pleased! I think I will up to 50 for the month and see if I can make it to that
 
I decided that I had been doing 3 miles a day and finding it not easy but not as difficult as it was at the beginning so I upped to 4 miles today. Ouch. That extra mile made a big difference to my pain and sweat factor. Please let the scales reflect my efforts tomorrow! I know that week 2 can sometimes be a bit difficult as theres usually water loss in week one, would LOVE to lose 2lb so that I can get to half a stone off but i wont hold my breath!
 
As predicted week 2 weigh in was crap! STS, at least it wasnt a gain i guess but i'm still a bit baffled. exercised every day and within my calories too. Oh well will keep going in the same fashion and hope it catches up at some point

Back at the exercise today. I've been out and bought a heart rate monitor in case i'm overeating due to mfp working out my calories as a guesstimate. Seems pretty good and hopefully will keep me motivated exercise wise. Hopefully I see SOMETHING good on the scales next week!
 
Just read your entries and sounds like you're on plan, though sorry to read that you STS - these things are mystifying sometimes! Good luck with your journey!

Hi Tylar, thanks for your kind wishes! Fingers crossed mad muppet that my hard work this week pays off.
Had a bad few days, i've been struck down with a stinking cold and then had some issues with my sons school but so pleased the only food i turned to was a ripple and even then I had half with my son!

Please, please let the scales be nice to me this week as everything else has been a bit crazy so i dont want to burst into tears on the scale in Boots on Saturday morning!
