Ups and Downs

Hi all,

This is my second week on the Cambridge, and i must admit the first week has been okay.
The second week i am sttruggleing, I have been feeling a litte discomfort in my stomach, I am drinking at least 4 litres of water a day.

My moods are very up and down as well, i am happy then something can jsut turn me then i can turn in a second.

I so want to do it, and i lost 11 pounds in the first week, but my positive attitude had disapeared,

Lucy.

Awww Lucy, people have said that in th second week, around days 9 and 10 they have a dip in their positivity and don't feel quite as well as they had. But if you stick with it, it does get better again.
Hope you're feeling better soon & well done on the 11lbs by the way! *hugs*

Hi hun sorry to hear you are a little down at mo .
Just some ideas are you going to the loo might explain the stomache discomfort ,and also I kinda had a few days where i kinda mourned food and felt a bit down about life in general it passed very quickly and have now lost 5 stone so hang in there it is worth it xxxx

I know how you feel, I'm on day 9 and the second week seems to be harder than the first. I haven't cheated or anything, but I keep dreaming about Big Macs??! Let's hope the next couple of days give way to a better week 3.

FORGET THE BIG MACS! :whoopass:

big huggles hunny xxxxx you CAN DO THIS!!!!! IT's normal to have ups and downs but you will get through them and just think how fantastic you're gonna feel when you hop on those scales!!!! xx

Hehe I don't even particularly like Big Macs! I had this dream I bought one and chips and my friend (who knows about the diet) was so disgusted with me she made me eat it outside her house. Gah!

Dont talk to me about food dreams.... I dreamt in the week that I had made a bowl of hot choc fudge sauce & tipped over a cheesecake as a dessert for my cousins... Only problem was I needed to wipe my finger in the bowl which I did - in the dream this is...

I woke myself up with my finger in my mouth, wondering why it didnt taste of hot choc fudge sauce.....

The second week can be quite tough. Week one is a total novelty plus you're having to fight hunger whilst you wait for ketosis.
Then there's the week one weigh-in and WOW! The ecstacy of a fab result.

Then comes week two, the anti-climax and the realisation that 'this is it' for however many weeks ahead. This is when the psychological battle begins. You're not necessarily hungry and you don't NEED the food - you just WANT it and can't stop thinking about it - even to the extent of dreaming about it.
It's normal and knowing it's normal (and not just you) will hopefully make you feel a little better. It's a phase and it WILL pass.

We're all here for you so come and have a moan whenever you feel like it - we know what you're going through.

I think Russiandoll has hit the nail on the head, but as she says it does pass. I found day 9/10 really hard but by the time my second week was over i felt ok again. Stick with it, your doing really well, 11lb is a great loss :)

PRETTYFROMTHEBACK you've just made me chuckle! :rotflmao:

Keep going Blueeyes, we all get the hard moments, but you will feel much better and proud or yourself when you've made it through! x x x
