Will succeed with RC

Well this is one very quiet forum!!

I'll introduce myself quickly; I'm Lucy, I'm 22 and I have an almost 9 month old son :)

I started dieting in June weighing a scary 16st 10lbs. Got down to 15 stone on slim and save (vlcd) but since August I'd put back 4lbs and found it very hard to continue on such a low calorie diet.

So on the 18th October me and my mum joined a Rosemary Conley zumba class. First weigh in I was 15 st 4, then last night was our second weigh in and I was 14st 11lbs!!! I lost 7LBS woop.

Feeling very motivated and determined to succeed atm. Good luck to everyone else out there (although there doesn't seem very many) xxx

Hiya. Just wanted to say a massive well done. 7lbs is a fantastic achievement in 1 week :). I started rc yesterday if i can do half as well as you in my first week i will be more that happy. Have a good weekend. X

thanks for the support bebbosgirl :) im sure you'll do fab at your weigh in- are you at a class? x

day 9 of rc

doing well. compared to a vlcd its seem relatively easy atm, but i no after a few weeks the motivation and willpower start to slip!! thats when it gets difficult. i think being positive is a big part of success, and i really want to succeed, so need to be positive :D

ive hung up a outfit i want to wear for christmas on my wardrobe to inspire me. its a size 16, and im a loose 18 atm so its not an unattainable goal. i'd like it to be very comfortable or even a little loose by then- not having to lie down to do up the zip lol

anyway, day 9 down alot to do x

Oops sorry was watching johnathan ross. No not at class on my own. But hope to keep in touch with this site. X

Oh yeah lol. I've only ever had one diary seems odd to keep 2 lol. I'll keep updating on both as it's really nice to talk to others who are on the same diet

Do you have a diary ange s? X

I use my fitness pal to record my food, I love it but I won't go on too much on here about it as it's frowned upon (it also has forums but the mfp ones are no where near as good as here anyway). x

Hey LucyNewMum,

You still finding it easy? I struggle to start on any diet but am determined this time not to give up. Are you going to post an actual food diary? I been thinking about doing one but worried will feel like I'm talking to myself lol.

Good luck wit your journey,

Dan x

I think a food diary will be really useful here for others to see. In fact I think I will start one too. I'm struggling to get back on track after switching from sw so hopefully this will help!

hi dan thanks for the support :) its still going really well atm, but it always starts off well- its a few weeks down the line that i start to really struggle, how about you?
i'd never thought about a food diary before as the only diary i kept on here was on a food replacement diet, so everyone ate the same anyway lol. i have jotted down what ive eaten each day in a notebook to keep track of calories so i think i'll start posting them up. on my old diary i always felt like i was talking to myself lol :p, but you'll be surprised how many people are interested :) and its a nice way to see how others are getting on. good luck x

as i said above i think i'll start posting up, as its always interesting to see how others are doing, and to get ideas. good luck with rc, i know a few people who have had great success with sw, but now ive started a rc class, i know a lot more people who have had success with rc lol. good luck i'll look out for your food diary x

right, first thing first i had my weigh in on thursday evening, and lost 5LBS! so thats 12lbs in 2 weeks :)
feeling quite chuffed atm. however that was on the 1200 kick start. i am now on the 1400 so im not expecting too much for next week

this is what ive eaten today so far:

2 slices low cal brown bread with 1 dairylea light triangle and slice of ham (made into toastie) 170 cals
bowl of chicken soup 200 cals
mullerlight yoghurt 100 cals
apple 60 cals
chicken cassarole (1 chopped chicken breast, onion, leeks, carrot, small can chopped tomatoes and chicken stock) 300 cals
1 small potato made into roasties with 1 cal spray 100 cals
(tonight) 2 yellow pp of white wine 200 cals
cups of tea 100 cals

total cals for day: approx. 1250

sorry if this a bit all over the place. its seems like a lot of food, ive even got some calories left over. this is quite typical of what i eat most days on this diet, and so far it seems doable x

Want to lost another 10 lbs for xmas to make 2 stone x

Well done on your loss. I'm starting the 28 day Solo Slim on monday. Am concerned because I'm not a big fan of soups, hoping I can eat them for the sake of good results!

Thanks for the support :)

Just a quick update:

Still going strong. From 18th October to my last weigh in (29th November) I have gone from 15st 4lbs to 13st 9lbs.
That's 1st 9lbs in 6 weeks yay x
