Hi Meneither,

Well you have not gained anything which is great!!!

Don't feel down as next week you are bound to see a loss on the scales.

How to you feel in yourself overall and are you finding this diet easier to do?

What about

the swiss roll we demolished between us on sunday?...............lol. I know you weren't happy with losing nothing but see how the next 3 weeks go and if you are still not happy go back to CD. Whichever way you want to go i'll be there with you. Love you x x xx

Indeed that probably didn't help, as to you no more matchmakers we will do this together here is to a more positive week with out kebab fish and chips and swiss rolls, and no trips to a&e.

Hi Meneither,

To be honest I'm not sure i was disappointed at not losing weight and my gut feeling was i know i would have probably lost half a stone on CD by now, although i must admit my fluid intake has been lousy since starting diet, today i have had nothing but coffee so must get back into the water habit again.

When this happens there's usually something to blame. Sit down and think about it and things will probably pop up which you've chosen to ignore (such as eating bad things when nobody sees!) The thing is not to be disheartened and just get right back on track. Also writing it all down for the first four weeks is so helpful and it makes you really get to grips with the whole plan, which can be quite complicated at first.

Back on the horse!

Hey £10 bet you will lose next week, always happens to me!

When I did SW, the first week I didn't lose anything at all and I had been soooooooo good and didn't have any syns. It was then recommended to me that I do have syns. Have you been having everything you are allowed or are you being extra careful and anxious after switching plans?

Hi Meneither!

My cousin did SW, and the 1st 3 weeks she didn't lose anything !

But on the 4th week, the lbs started to disappear into thin air day after day, and her weight loss was pretty impressive.

I know it is hard to see you didn't lose any weight. It is as if you were refused your reward for being good all week. But I bet you the reward will come next week.

Go meneither :party0011:

Hey hun, i know its disappointing but don't get too down. Upping your fluid intake may help you with your losses. Are you making the most of the free foods. I know when i first started SW (a couple of years ago) that i kept counting calories in my head and thinking that i couldn't possibly eat 'that' much food and still lose the weight so i wasn't eating as much as i should have been..........i found when i actually upped my free food intake my weight loss increased. I lost 7lbs in the first week and 5 in the second. Good Luck *hugs*

hello, nice to see you again :)

i have been doing slimming world since oct, and have almost lost my first stone. i pretty much leveled out over nov-dec, as had a LOT of social things on, as it was peters first xmas after transplant. it can be disheartening not losing anything, and its feel rotton when you gain.

are you doing your food diaries? i dfound they really helped in the first couple of months as its soooo easy to pop biscuit in your mouth and forget about it by the evening, and then by the end of the day you are well over your syn allowence.

i prefer green days. i make huuuge batches of pasta, with onions, mushrooms, quorn pieces, sweetcorn and low fat salad dressing (whatever one you want) or tomato based sauces, and munch on that all evening. works out low-syn or free depending on what dressing you use. i also fdo the same with rice, huuuge batches again, whack in what ever veg you want, and cook with stock cube. add loads of pepper and seasoning. very filling and comforting.

it can hard as i know if i was on CD i would be a fair bit lower by now, but i am finder this diet easier to stick to, as it works well with family life.

are you starting for the group or just weighing and go? i find the group works well for me which is surprising, as i dont generally do big group settings. i think its because its a very friendly group i am at with a fab leader who is funny and great.

just had a quick look at your blog. you do know smoothies arent syn-free dont you?
