Hi I ordered some husks which came this morning. I always make a hot choc with my first sachet so I added 1 tsp of husks to my drink and I could have re skimmed my walls with it, it was that thick and gluey please can anybody advise me what I am doing wrong as I have 200g to get through. :wave_cry:
 
Things that might make the husks 'gloopy' are
1. Having the water too hot when you add them - make sure the water is hot but not boiling.

2. Over whisking. I've got the method off to a T with my stick blender but if you're a beginner, add the husks after you've whisked up your shake and stir fairly briskly with a fork or balloon whisk (don't beat like mad) ... and only until it starts to thicken - then stop.
I used my daughter's cheap, very fast stick blender once rather than my Braun and I ended up with pond slime. :jelous:

3. Too much PH ... try adjusting the amount until it's right for you.

4. Leaving it too long before drinking: PH thickens all the time it's standing there as it's absorbing liquid and bulking up as it does so.

Hope it turns out OK next time as they really make all the difference on this diet :)
