Mintimperial is giving it ONE LAST TRY!!!

Don't know if anyone remembers me, but here I am and I'm back again!!

Ive realised over the weekend that since stopping Cambridge diet sole source i have regained 2 stone!

Not a happy bunny! Ive been a silly fool!:break_diet:

I currently weigh 15 Stone 5lbs

My goal is to get to 13 stone!:D

Ive tried and tried to get back onto sole source, but failed at every step. :sigh: Some people said some things to me at the weekend which really hit home and made me realise i needed to step back on the scales!

So if anyone has any tips for a 28 year old guy attempting to get back onto sole source, please let me know.

Thanks guys, I hope to stick around here for a while while I'm trying to get back on it!

Minty x

Hi Minty
Good luck on getting your head in the right place for sole sourcing (the biggest single factor on a successful restart IMO). It CAN be done and, as a bloke with a tad over 2st to lose, you'd be done and dusted in around a month - so head down, blinkers on and go for it! :)

Hi Minty - it is harder 2nd and subsequent times round. Have you considered 790??? You would have 3 cambridge plus a healthy meal of protein and veg/salad. It is a really good plan and the losses are almost as good as SS but you get to eat too.

Come on here and post often - good and bad times. Good luck .... and remember guys lose quicker ... so you can lord it over us gals!!!

Thanks, this forum always helped me in the past...the support everyone gives is fanstastic!

I know my girlfriend would love me to lose the 2 stone, so lets go for it!

Im off to see my counsellor Diane tonight for the first time in about a year...lets see what she thinks!

I have a broccoli and cheese soup here in front of me for lunch...and so it begins....

I'm on 790 Minty and can vouch for it whole-heartedly. As a restarter, I did 1 week of SS to kick-start the losses then moved to 790 last Saturday; so far I'm really happy with the new routine. Having that one meal a day really makes a difference to whether I can stick to it (I never got past week 1 on a restart).

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I did try 790 last time and actually found it harder than SS, mainly because I would start adding things to the meal which I shouldnt!!

I think Ill try sole source, with the option to move to 790 if i Cant hack it...I just remember when i originally did it, I wasnt even hungry after a week or so!!

That's true - if you get to day 4 without any cheats then you should be fine ... you'll have the blanket of ketosis around you and be ok.

I tend to do SS/790 on a mixed basis - but keep tins of tuna, tubs of cottage cheese, frozen cauliflower/broccoli and salad in, so I have the option.

Keep coming on here - maybe even start a diary ... we're all nosey enough to read and some will reply, but for you it will help to have somewhere to offload - good and bad days.

I changed over to 790, not because of hunger but because I made the conscious decision to lose weight WITH food in the equation this time. Much as I think SS is a fantastic resource, I found it warped my thinking a bit the last time I was on it (I went 6 months without even having an AAM week) and I ended up thinking negatively about ALL food.

But of course, you'd only be on it a short time so I doubt you'd encounter the same problem :)

God, I hope youre right about it being a short time!!! It would be great to get down a good amount by my birthday on Feb 12th! The of course theres valentines day lol!

You're male ... that means a super-fast weight loss rate! (Not that I'm at all jealous of course!!)

As for Valentines ... make it a time for lovin' and not for eatin' and you'll lose even MORE weight that week!! ;)

Hiya Minty!
Just wanted to wish you the best of luck on your new journey. It's easy to slip back into bad habits and before you know it you've gained weight. Whatever you do, don't have a downer on yourself. Pick yerself up, dust yerself off and start all over again. And DEF by your birthday you will be nearly there.
Take care and keep us in the know!

Hiya, welcome back to the forum - you can do it easy peasy, just get stuck in like before and think of how hot you'll look on valentines day for your g/f!! :p

Well day one was a success 100%!!

I was around food and drink last night but managed to resist!! People were wondering what was wrong with me!

I was close to giving in, but I managed to resist, knowing that in just a few days, hopefully ill be in ketosis and it will be falling off!

Im praying I can keep this up...I think the main reason i had problems last time was the inital weeks lack of bars! I spoke to my counsellor and she suggested I just start with the bars as well as the shakes... I'm sure it will still work!

Here's to another day and another galon of water down the hatch..ive done 1.5 litres already lol :)

Well done Minty! Onward and downward from here!

A fantastic start Minty!! Keep up the fab work - cling on like crazy for those first few days and then reap the rewards!

Hi Minty,

WelcomeBack.jpg

Well done on staying strong last night!!!

I love your avatar, you both look very good together in it:)

You have plenty of motivation and support to get those two stone off!!!

Good Luck.

Love Mini xxx

Thanks Mini, its kinda good to be back...I know i wouldnt last 5 minutes unless I was here, thanks for your comments on my avatar.. :)

Well, its almost time for my first pack today! I dont normally have one till lunchtime, so i can have the other 3 packs at home as I find an evening at home with less than 3 packs a nightmare!!

So, think I'll have leek and potato soup for lunch, not tried that before!

Does anyone know if chocolate orange will be available in the NON lactose free version soon? I love the taste but the texture of the lactose free ones is just a bit weird and slimy!
