Do any of you have experience of dieting with a spouse or partner? If so what advice do you have. Is it a good idea or a minefield? We are around retirement age but that doesn't necessarily bring emotional maturity.
It depends whether your partner is as committed as you are. If he wants to do it with you, his choice, then there shouldn't be any problems. However, if he is forced to do it, or feels coerced in any way, then there could be problems.
I have done it with my husband and it has been a very good experience, as it has made him more understanding he did not have to lose very much, a little over a stone and half and has maintained for almost a year and half.
...out of it he has taken up cooking and turns out the most delicious meals now.
(So goes to show you can teach an old dog to do new tricks)
We have a good few couples on the boards doing it together
