LL Packet critiques from a Newbie

Blonde Logic

Yes. You can.
:D

I just have to say, I am really so pleasantly surprised how nice the soups are.

I have tried them all now, and like everyone of them. THe Thai is my favourite, bbut they are all really really nice! I had the chicken tonight with lots of pepper and tabasco and that was gooood too. Yum yum.

The Vanilla "Latte" is really yummy - thanks everyone for that tip!

The Raspberry was nice blended up with ice nice and thick - almost a milkshake!!

So for those of you about to start, if you are like I was, and imagining months of eating dust - its a very nice surprise to find out how tasty they really are. And surprisingly, they are satisfying and filling.

Hurray!

As its the first week, I am keeping pretty boring with them, bbut might try some of the good ideas on here as the days go on.

Now....what kind of shake to have tonight.....? :D

It's good that you like them all - I don't like vanilla but I don't like vanilla in the real world either.

I'm having chocolates tonight, it's great - my son makes them and I just get to eat them :)

Bl,

I cannot stomach the soup it makes me gag and freak out! lol

I LOVE the banana and strawberry shakes and if you use a blender its like a Mcd's shake.

I live on them and then for 'dinner' i have a hot choc most nights.

P x

I too love all the soups. I like mushroom, probably because it has a few bits in in:eat:.

I also like the vanilla lattee and the chocolate but find the other shakes too sweet, but then again I dont like milk shakes or smoothies in the real world.

I always have two savory drinks a day, with a splash of vinegar, dont ask me why, but just love them and since I was told the add towards your water, even a better excuse to take them.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised when I started as to how nice everything was. You think they're going to be horrendous, but in actual fact they're (sadly!) quite enjoyable!!! I've pledged to keep buying the cranberry bars even after I've finished RTM as I really like them - much better than any other cereal bar!!!

Hi

I switched to CD after 11 weeks because I couldn't eat the 'old-style' LL bars. However, you've just reminded me how much I loved the LL Mushroom and Chicken Soups. The soups on CD aren't as nice and the Chicken isn't veggie! Yumm...would love an LL mushroom soup...lol...

It is definitely worth trying different packs along the way.
I tried choc in the first week and thought yuk, that hasn't been anywhere near chocolate, but I got one last night and had a hot choc and it was lovely.
Also I have only been having mushroom and chicken soup as I didn't like the other 2 much before, so have 1 thai and 1 veg to try again this week.
I do actually like the raspberry and strawberry packs, they are nice and creamy but it is just too cold for shakes and don't fancy them hot, might retry them when the weather warms up a bit (if I am still on packs then).

isn't it funny how your taste buds change after a few weeks though. I remember trying my first shake (raspberry ) and thought yuk.. then had chicken soup next and though (double yuk).. I was so disappointed when i saw how small and how yukky looking the bars are..

However...!! I now completely adore the shakes (only one I cant face is caramel - which is weird cos I was a caramel junky in pre LL life) and the soups are yummy. My fav has to be thai chilli.

I have some lemon bars on order so am looking forward to trying some of them.

Really need to pluck up the courage to try making a choc muffin though... hmmn

I had the Caramel this morning, hot with coffee......didn't fancy that very much. Will not be getting more of them....and I agree, the Chocolate is definately chocolate, however I think I made it to thin so will try again and keep it less diluted.

oops....that should have said, the Chocolate has definatly not been anywhere near Chocolate!....

DOH!!
