I'm now on day 4, the hunger pangs are waning but feeling very lethargic and light headed.

Is this normal??

Anyone else experienced this and if so, when will it pass?

Muffin 75 - most people say days 1 to 3 are the hardest but I myself found 5 and 6 were really tough, it will pass and the lethargic feeling will go. I found that although I wasnt feeling real hunger I was really feeling it in my head - doea that make sense? My stomach wasnt rumbling for food but my brain was still wanting it? It will pass tho, and it will get easier. I have heard people saying it gets really easy! I dont think it will get easy but will be more managable as the days go on. Good luck. Do you have much to lose? I started on the 27th Dec and hope to continue till about 21st Jan then refeed. I wont have lost all my weight by then but it should give me a good head start. I have a special occasion coming up and want to refeed for that then look at what I want to do after the occasion!

I found the first week soooo tough...all the little demons on your shoulder screaming that it was too difficult......your first weight in will be soooo worth it and will keep you going....only three more days to see those scales move in the right direction for one.....

Thanks for the support, good to know that I am not alone. I am hoping to loss around 6 stone, could not wait to wiegh myself so waddled onto the scales this morning and after only three days I have losy 6lbs so feel really motivated and excited, straight into the back of the cupboard to see what I will be wearing at the end of next week.

That's brilliant! I've no weighing scales in the house so I've to wait untill Thursday but kinda glad cos I wouldn't get off them! Glad your feeling better! I always say this but it works for me, look at before and after pics on this site when you feel hungry! Or the inspiration slide show- does exactly what it says on the tin,
Keep posted,

Well done, Muffin - that is brilliant. :)

I've given up with my scales - I stood on them three times this morning (all one after another) and my weight jumped up by almost half a stone each time I stood on them (so I decided to just accept the first reading and enjoy the rest of the day! :p )

My scales are meant to measure body fat and water percentages etc which is why I wanted to get on them (chemist was adamant I should not weigh myself) but the keep coming up with an error message (and for once it is not because I am too heavy!) I got Neil to stand on them and it worked for him - maybe I have funny feet?!

Hi I am so inspired reading your stories!

I am going to spend this week cutting down carbs and increasing my water intake (great advice Mini, thanks)
