Big Day 30th August 2008 and just started CD!

Hi all,
I've just started the Cambridge diet and am on day 3! Got about 4 1/2 stone to lose and hope I can do it before then! Want to be a slim bride.
Anyways - to introduce myself. I'm tansy and was widowed in 2002 (he was only 37 and died in a motorbike accident). I never thought I'd find love again let alone remarry but.........it's happened and I love my fiance dearly!
I've got two children - both with learning disabilities so life can be rather challenging at times.
I put on loads of weight following a long hospitalisation when the discs in my back herniated. I then gave up smoking a year ago.
I am determined to start feeling better about myself and hope that this is the year for ALL of us.
It's great to see so many success stories and this site is such a source of inspiration I've been lurking on here ever since I found the site on Thursday!lol
Congratulations to all of you on your weddings - we're all gonna look great and, for sure, we're all loved by our men whatever size we are!

Congratulations Tansy on getting to day 3. And it does get easier. Just keep your eyes on the prize as a famous person on this site says and it your case that is the wedding.

Hiya Tansy and congratulations on your wedding You'll deffo have that weight off in plenty time on the CD and well done on getting to day 3...things will get easier from hereon in!! How's the planning going?

Oh - not done that much planning as yet. Have the invites here, have ordered the rings, posted the banns.
This will be quite a small wedding - about 50 guests in all and complicated because my OH is German so some guests will be coming from Germany so have to sort out accommodation for them.
My sister is holding a reception for us at her house after a small wedding at register office (old country house).
Am sort of doing bits and pieces as and when I can.
Wondering where we can go for honeymoon at end aug/beginning sept......any ideas - we don't want anywhere too hot and are on a budget!!!
I'm planning on getting more excited when I've lost some more weight and decided on a dress. I love the medieval look - big sleeves and all that but don't know if the blokes will want to be men in tights!lol
Have made a to do list and am just taking things slowly - otherwise I'll just get stressed!

You sure have had to deal with alot of pain in your life . Some happiness has come out of this . So you are getting married in Aug , i'm sure your going to look Slim and Lovely on the big day . Good luck

Ooo sounds lovely Tansy ANYWHERE will be nice for honeymoon at that time of the year it depends how big your budget is. You'll soon be loving tryring those dresses on and you'll be a skinny minny before you know it!!!

I am planning on having a medieval wedding dress but to have the men in suits not tights!
