i'm sure we all have our own strategy to make this diet easier for ourselves whats yours...

mine are:

making sure i have 2 and a half of pints of water and a tetra before 12 / 4 and 8 (going to up this each week to as much as i can)

its working so far :D

It's a good idea to swap hints and tips.

Mine is psyllium husks because not only do they make the packs more filling, they prevent constipation which can be a big problem on a VLCD.
Got mine at the ready for my restart on Saturday!

Don't eat.

Yes, I know it sounds obvious, but a small slip can send you over the edge and it can be really difficult to climb back on board again.

Oooh yes - an absolutely VITAL piece of advice. Not even a crumb ... it's a slippery slope and even worse if you cheat a little and 'get away with it' - that just lines you up for a big fall.

They're the husk of a plant which is indigestible (no cals or carbs) but bulk up by absorbing liquid so prevents constipation.

I add a couple of teaspoons to a pack to thicken it up (like a thick shake) or a little bit more if I want a kind of semolina / porrige. Also makes the soup thick enough to eat with a spoon (like a broth).

If you want to know more, let me know and I'll PM you so I don't bore the pants off people.

Here's a link to a good supplier - a tub lasts about a month.

Totally agree with KD about not eating! Nibbling has been the start of many a downfall!

Also, I would advise that no matter what kind of week you think you have had or how much you think you're ok on your own...see your Counsellor EVERY WEEK and speak to them on a regular basis even if you think you know what they are going to say, it really helps to either screw your head back on or tighten it up a little! :)

Finally, don't focus on the losing weight but on the slim and healthy lifestyle that you have now chosen to live.

This also goes for Counsellors as well because we are human too and we slip up but I know that some of us feel that because we are CDC's that its harder...it's not we just have to use the support systems that we have around us. I'd be more than happy to help out fellow CDC's as I know that there are many that help me. :)
