LL diet and health

hi guys

i started the diet in july 07 and did my 100 days and lost 2stones. however towards the end i started getting bad tummy cramps which led to cramps in my back and lasted for 15mins.

my doctors carried out blood test which showed i had a lot of inflammation on my liver as well as my blood count being low.

i've being for futher tests which showed i didn't have Hep A, B and C or liver damage. to date things have improved but still there is slight inflammation on my liver and low blood count. i now have to go for a scan.

i was advised by my doctor to come off the diet and to eat healthy. which i am doing but the weight crept back on.:cry:

I just wanted to know if anyone else on the lighter life diet has experienced similar kind of health problems?:confused:

I haven't heard of this problem with lighterlifers:confused:

Poor you - it sounds awful! Never heard of anything like it, but you could ask your LLC to phone the medical advisors if you are interested. I had a medical query early on and my LLC did this, and got a good answer back the same day. It might be enlightening!

I hope you get better very soon. Do take care of yourself and don't worry about having to give up. If you are sensible you might continue to lose, but the most important thing is to get back to full health. You can always lose weight another way later on.

oh dear my love, that is a blow, you dont state how much you have to lose.

Healthily if you can try and follow a low GI diet, it will be healthy and the lbs will fall off steadily in time.Good Luck love xxx
 
I didn't have any obvious signs of illness or problems. My endocrinologist was not pleased about me being on it and insisted of full bloods being done. They were mostly fine although I was low on zinc. He made a big deal about this but I'm sure this is reasonably common.

Hope you start to feel better. Try not to let it all creep back on with bad eating habits!
