throwing myself in head first!

well I just joined up and today has been a fantastic day... I got a lot done (including tidying and hand washing clothes because my landlord wont let us have our own washing machine)

this means I haven't pigged out like I often do when I'm bored... instead I've spent rather a lot of money on ebay...

so, what have I eaten... lots of black coffee (working at starbucks means I have a lot of it lying around) a pack of sesame seed crackers (I should find out just how many calories there are in those things... it can't be more that 300 because even if they do have a lot of sugar they are mostly just sesame seeds), em... I ate the chicken out of a microwave meal I didn't like the taste of, some super noodles and a few exquisitely good chocolates! ohh and half a carton of rubicon mango... there's more vitamin C than you can shake a stick at... wonder if you can overdose on vaitims?

Welcome aboard!

Welcome, how much do you want to lose, or are you maintaining? I started my own diary yesterday, want to lose just around a stone (or until my Tesco size 12's start fitting again)

I'm not that far away from you, just over in scuzzy Bradford

lol I like bradford... although I have only been there once...

I'm looking to loose around 3 stone altogether so it shouldn't be too hard, I just find it hard to keep up diets lol

If you aim to lose a pound a week, you'll be done by October and can still have student-y treats like alcohol, cups of tea and tins of baked beans LOL LOL.

Surely you mean studenty staples? :D

Actually I find - as a student myself - its not too hard to avoid alcohol. Maybe I just have a calm group of freinds though!

Oh well - you are only young once!!! LOL LOL LOL enjoy it while you can. Love Methuzala

hahaha I'm finding it quite hard to avoid alcohol... it seems that every time I go out it's an important night like a birthday lol... but thats ok I drink less than I used to!

anyway after Christmas I'm waiting till tomorrow to start again... I'm at work 2 days in a row and I do really well when I'm at work... partly because I'm running around so much that if I eat I feel sick so I only eat breakfast and tea lol

All the best for the restart :)

well the restart didn't go too well... I'm a bit ill and on the first day at work I was really dizzy and felt like I was going to faint! so I took the next day off and decided not to start up again because I was feeling really weak and hungry due to fighting whatever it was off. I'm starting again today... I have a lot of stuff to distract me from eating (like making a skirt) and a lot of low cal food in (mostly frozen ready meals, salad and sandwich ingredients) so it should be easy to get down to minimum calories today!!!!

Well...It's not a race Serena, you have to go at your own pace. You need to listen to your body, if you had lots to drink and was still hungry you must eat, I suppose your stomach needs to get used to smaller portions. I mean, if you got a big wage then went to a small wage, you wouldn't be able to get used to it straight away would you? You'd have to cut down, and budget, and work out where you can spend your money better, and what you can save on etc... I'm a big boredom eater and just have to keep telling myself that eating wont make the time pass quicker, none eating pasttimes are much better such as reading, surfing the net, housework (gulp) (or working - when I am at work)
