Blonde Logic
Yes. You can.
Seven years ago, when I hit the magical age of Forty, when all the mechanical bits of my body passed their sale by date, and the warranty expired, things started to hurt. Now I had been warned about this in my 30s by an older friend who was in her 40s. I put it down to her being dramatic and cynical.
But then, by god, at the stroke of midnight of my 40th birthday - things DID start to hurt!!! And things DID start to fall apart!!!
SO I thought by gum! She was RIGHT!!! Wretched woman!!!
But - it was also just about that time that my excess weight went from being a nuisance and an annoyance, to really balooning out of control to now being a burden. In the last 7 years, the weight I have gained has crossed the line to where it is surely has got to be affecting my skeleton.
I am hopeful, and wondering from those of you who are older (lets face it - age DOES have some impact on our frames)....but did you find after losing alot of weight - did things stop hurting?
My feet hurt constantly. My knees are unstable (mostly due to breaking both of them when I was 19 and having half a dozen or so surgeries to try and make as good as they could until I will one day have them both replaced-but the weight has an impact. That goes without saying.) But all of my joints hurt. So I don't know which is more to blame - weight, or crossing that magical age.
I have mostly attributed it to age - but am hopeful more of it is to do with weight?
So my question (at last! I hear you cry!) is have you found a difference after losing weight? Do things stop hurting?
I will be waiting, with fingers crossed. They are about all I can cross.
