Meal help

I am on day 10 of ss at the moment. The week after next I have to go to a meeting at work which I can't get out of and which means having a pub lunch. Can't explain to everyone why I don't want to eat when everyone else is (there will be 30+ people there).

Can anyone suggest what I could have without messing up my diet. I'm only on day 10 but have so far stuck to it completely.

I assume potatoes are completely out? So far the only things I can think of on the menu are potato wedges, veggie sausages on a slice of ciabatta with salad or goats cheese salad with sunblush tomatoes.
 
Hi Joanne

My really boring advice would be to stick with it if you possibly can, make up some excuse about having an upset tummy, as when food creeps in it makes things so much harder.

If there is no way round it try to make sensible choices such as chicken and fish and leave the veg or have green salad.

Thanks. Because it's a pub menu there's only about 10-15 things to choose from. I don't eat chicken so I think I'm going to be a bit stuck.
 
what about a steak with some salad? steak wont bring you out of ketosis because theres no carbs... ?

Thanks. I'll have a look when I'm at work and see if there's a steak salad. I think there are a few salads on the menu....so hopefully

Do you know if you can have sunblush tomatoes?
 
tomatoes like any fruit.. and veg salad etc all contain carbs... maybe just have 1 tomatoe?
 
Hey, I think red meat is higher in fat, do you like fish?
 
aslong as you stay in ketosis shouldnt be a problem and to stay in ketosis dont eat any carbs, just meat... and as low in cals as possible.. if your doing the 790 plan you should be ok..wih ss i dont know, i wouldnt like to say..

hey fish is a good idea but they prob have a sauce on ... maybe you could ask for plain fish?
