Bars

I was told you shouldn't have these until week 3 so I haven't bought any yet. As I am 5 ft 11 I am on 4 sachets a day so I think that once I get into week 3 I will substitute one shake/soup for a bar as it is a lot easier than trying to make a shake at work. The only thing I wondered was whether having one bar instead of a shake slows down your weight loss?

Thanks.

There are slightly more cals in the bars than the shakes, but the bars are just soooooo convenient its worth taking in the extra calories. Good luck x

Thanks. I'm only on day 3 but think when I have my next appointment at 14 days I will ask for one bar per day as it will definitely be more convenient at work.

I totally love the bars. I shouldn't have them really because they give me terrible wind (tmi sorry), but the pleasure of eating them outweighs the drawbacks. I also get more hungry when I have them.

I don't have one every day but wish I could

OOh I'm a bit worried now. I am going for my second weigh in in a bit and am on day 13. I too am on 4 shakes a day and was going to switch to having 1 bar a day for the same reasons - but I don't want to be more hungry :( I think there must be something wrong with me :sigh: because I am still hungry even though i have almost done two weeks! My tummy rumbles shamelessly  and I really am hungry. Am managing to stick to it 100% though cos am feeling very determined at the moment - hope I can keep it up!

I saw my new cdc last night who is recently qualified, she told me that they have changed the rules now and you can have the bars from week 2, I've got mine and can have one a day from Monday (which is the start of my 2nd week) and I can't wait!!!

she said the only reason you can't have them in the first week is because it takes a week to strip your body of carbs, after that there is no reason you can't have the bars, and this has come from Cambridge themselves

daisy, you have to get some and try. Everyone is different. I still have them even though they make me hungry, but I think I'm just one of the people who can slip out of ketosis easily. You will love them :D

Hi there

I've never tried the bars but noticed you said they would be easier for work - how about Tetras they are yummy and convenient too and would maybe give you some more variety - bar one day, tetra the next.

Gx

Hi there
I've had one bar a day since week 2 - they were my saviour while ss'ing and still are even though i'm now on 1000. I think if they stop you eating something naughty then they are well worth it. xx

god do they give you wind?, I don't need any help in that department!!

Me neither.....but I've had my first one this morning (delicious) and not had any side (or rear :D) effects. Also haven't been hungry either....in fact I've only just had my second meal of the day (5.10pm), so I get to have supper today :D :D :D

jules - I'm not waiting til week 3, as I said, my cdc who has literally just done her training in Sept/Oct was told at head office on her training that you can now have them from week 2, so who am I to argue?, at the end of the day, if I don't lose on them I'll knock them on the head but I am going to trust her

Hi,

I am on week 3 but started having the bars in week two. I love them, I have tried all but the paenut one which I intend to have next week. I don't have them everyday, just in case they slow the weightloss down, instead I have one every other day.

Tico xx
