Tips for making cardio more interesting?

Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to make cardio more pallatable? lol
I am trying my hardest to get through it, but I get bored before I get tired, and then I want to go home and have a snack. I have tried mixing up different forms of cardio, but other than that, I'm at a loss. Any suggestions? I don't want to lose motivation and quit!

I always take my own music to the Gym with me! :) This helps the time go more quickly for me- I just plug the headphones in then off I go! ;)

Dance! It's the most fun cardio you can possibly do.

However, I have a feeling you're talking about the cardio machines at the gym - am I right?

Other than taking music, as LisaL suggests, I used to take a magazine and prop it up on the machine (doesn't work so well on the treadmill, though), or even my Gameboy if I was sitting on a bike. Anything that takes your concentration away from the exercise lets you forget how boring it is. But if you find it so boring you need to distract yourself, why are you doing it? Wouldn't it be better to do something you enjoy? Have you checked out the group fitness classes they offer? Or do you like swimming?

I get bored with the gym so I tried Jazzercise instead.
It's a mixture of dance, aerobics and toning and a great laugh.
I like it so much I go 4 times a week!

Well, I'm doing it to lose weight and keep my heart healthy. Trying a class might be a nice idea-maybe kickboxing or something. I occasionally do spinning, and it's okay, but I don't love it. I'm just trying to make a necessary activity more enjoyable to do. I think a group fitness class might be a good way to go. Thanks for the suggestions, guys!

Sorry, I should have been clearer - when I said:

But if you find it so boring you need to distract yourself, why are you doing it?

I meant the particular type of exercise you're doing...not exercise full stop! :)

I hope you didn't think I was questioning why you were exercising at all!

LOL. Who cares about exercising?

No, I got you. It's so hard to read a tone on a message board, but I knew what you meant. I have been doing the same stuff, I suppose, because it's what I know. I have gotten into a comfort zone, and even though it's boring, it's safe. I need to step outside of the box, and I think that the recommendation to try a class is a good step.
