What would you like?

IN your Christmas stocking this year?

I'm a tad stuck this year, Mr loves buying one big present. But I'm not really wearing all my gold jewels after losing so much weight. I've not finished losing so don't want clothes yet. I don't need smellies. I was spoilt last Xmas with my iPad, so need nothing there. I love handbags and Uggs, but I really do not need anymore to justify the cost. We need a whole new bedroom in New Year ,from plastering to everything . Mr is struggling lol x

I've already had my main Xmas present from my parents - my tv. They bought me a new one when I split with my ex and moved out :)

Not sure what else I'll be getting, probably mainly stuff from my Amazon wish list. I've told them and my sister not to buy me any clothes as I still want to lose more weight yet and it's pointless buying clothes that hopefully won't fit in a couple of months time. They know not to buy me any books as I now use my kindle, unless sis grabs me some second hand ones from the chairty shops as an 'extra' pressie.

So am guessing it'll be dvds, cds, smellies (they know to buy me what I use and not the expensive Xmas gift sets that you end up not using half of!), jewellery, perfume and money, the latter possibly towards another tv/dvd combi to go in the bedroom.

I would love an iPad but as me and the OH don't buy for each other and I don't have any loaded and overly generous relatives wanting to shower me with expensive gifts, its a pipe dream. I have however sneakily bought him one of those giant babygro things from primark as a bit of a jokey gift.

Me & the OH have both our bdays, xmas & wedding anniversary in the space of 6 weeks. So as a joint pressie for all 3, we are booking a holiday to Mexico for next December. That takes care of next years bdays, xmas & anniversaries too. Plus we will be away for our bday next year so added bonus :).

I got one present early, a new jacket from the New Look 50% off sale thingy, tis lovely and warm :)

Otherwise, from the parents it is usually socks, underwear, nicknacks and money. Mum always buys me and my brother lots of little things, I swear she thinks we are still kids :D My brother is getting me a cheap freeview box for upstairs as mine went *ping*. I too avoid clothes, in the vain hope they won't fit. I said this last year, but they still fit :(

OH always goes a bit overboard on me, and me on him too. We really shouldn't, but if I have the cash, I spend it on presents for others. No debt mounting up, so I don't mind :)

How about something towards the new bedroom?

I couldn't really think of anything this year but I love Disney films so i'm hoping Alex is getting me some of my favs Lion King, 101 Dalmatians, Fox and the Hound and Arisocats
Just getting monies from the rest of the family.
Hoping to get some cooking gadgets in the sales

Well,Mr is technical engineer and would rather buy gadgets than anything. I suspect he's actually pondering a smart tv for the new bedroom,as it's the only room minus a flat screen, there's nothing else I can think of present wise for bedroom, as it will need plastering, new carpet, curtains, built wardrobes by Mr ,due to lack of funds to ring some wonder company up and say " pimp my room" ;)
Our bed is ok and will suit the new room, although if anyone wants to throw a Laura Ashley Alice bed in my stocking I won't complain lol. I'm doubting I'll have room for a dressing table even, after much needed storage is built. So fancy blah, blah girly stuff will have no where to sit. I'm pondering this problem greatly!
I also want a hidden ironing board that jumps out of a wardrobe/ cupboard but can't find one. And don't really want one for Xmas lol :(

Ooooo I could kiss you! Thanks so much! I've googled and googled and nothing came up except American ones. I don't mind saving for something that saves space and stress like that. We're in two up ,two Down, my ironing board lives UP,in our bedroom, I put clean washing on it, keep from dog hairs, and iron when I get time. With two teen boys it's often, I don't mind ironing, I loathe putting board up and down,in and out etc. I just want to 'iron and go' Mr is so clever at building anything I plan, so the fold down board will be in my planned wardrobe/ storage etc. I shall adore those pics all night lol ;) I'm secretly Anthea Turner organised,in not a mansion! ;)

I googled 'fold away ironing board' and 'wall mounted ironing board' if you want to see if there are any others, but the Tesco one looked the best to me. But be aware, I own an ironing board, but have never actually used it :D

Very also sell the same one as Tesco, as do Woolworths and Littlewoods. :)

Thanks, I think I googled hidden ironing boards :( I've sent links to Mr's comp ;) who gets excited over ruddy ironing boards bar me lol. X

Just wait Gill , when we win thelottery you will get what your heart desires.

For us the same as last year...nothing. We do not have the money for presents for us or anyone else. Our animals feed bill always comes first and that leaves a big zilch for us.
It doesn't bother us one bit.

I find I always have to tell my OH what I want, or he'll be still wandering around like a lost soul looking for something to buy me for Xmas on Boxing Day haha
This year I've asked for a new camera as mine went capput not so long ago.

We don't really bother, last year OH bought me a bottle of Isle of Jura, and very pleased he was too, as he went to that big supermarket place all on his own, and I had a large tin of quality street from either his son or one of his daughters ... I bought him mobile top-up....that's it
So I guess this year will be on the same lines....actually, there isn't really anything I want (purchasable)

I'd like a bottle of Frangelico (hazlenut liquoir) and a decent, well-fitting and comfortable sports bra.
OH might manage the booze. To be honest I think I'll struggle shopping for the bra myself.

Hubby and I are only doing stockings this year, although I know he'll break the rule and get me something!

I LOVE Stockings, filled with useful stuff that doesn't cost a lot! Socks, pants, bubble bath, Lynx/Impulse, my son is getting two boxes of Nesquick lol, Dort has fewer bits as she has make up (more expensive), my mums will have a diary with birthdays already added, a writing pad, notebook, pens, handcream and emery boards! I chuck in bits like magazines, gold coins only hubby is getting giant jazzies (choc buttons with sprinkles £1 from Aldi), he loves them.

I will have to write hubby a 'possibles' list and hope he doesn't give it to Dort to shop, she spent £12 on tweezers last year!!!

If we were talking money no object I'd ask for a new netbook as mine won't last another year.

I LOVE it if someone would buy me a diary with all the birthdays written in for me!!! Even better, an address book with the family already filled out.

What a great idea!

Me and hubby went out yesterday to buy our Christmas present to ourselves, we decided on fetting a brand new car.
We have never got a new one before but as we have paid off a big chunk of our mortgage this year and I got a pay rise we went mad.
Best of all we haven't told anyone, but will do the day before we get it. So excited.
