Used to do lots of exercise yeeeears ago, now I'm about 9 stone overweight and have just ceased doing cambridge diet to do healthy eating (maybe slimming world) and exercise.

Any advice on what exercises burn the most fat would be much appreciated!

I have just joined a Gym and am going for my induction on Monday. Off to a beginners spinning class tomorrow too!

I know it's going to be very tough going at first and I aim to ease myself in gently, although I know I will look like Nellie the elephant having a severe asthma attack during and after spinning tomorrow!

I have also invested in a slow cooker to make my own healthy meals and freeze portions to save time.

So, here's to the start of what I hope will be the body blitz to end all body blitzes!! :D

what ive found works the best for me is body attack and body pump. not sure if your gym has those.... combat is good also! i do spinning too

good luck with the gym

best exercise - its the one you enjoy!

you will stick to what works and i use a slow cooker too ( fab rice and curries and low fat). I follow sw but its what works for you that is key. spinning is great i used to do this for triathlons but as Gina says body pump is really worth trying, or maybe kettleworx

its your journey but good luck and let us know how you are doing

Thanks guys! I am going to try body pump as my Gym runs those classes, called Body FX instead though? Is it still the same thing?

I have heard great things about kettle bells. Thats another thing on my list once I've started losing weight!

How many sessions of body pump/fx a week would it need to see a difference in weight loss? I intend to do some weights as well, but don't want to bulk up!

i havent bulked and i do weights 3 times per week, with heavyish weight too. you wont bulk up from it :p
