Just wanted to say a big hello to all newbies and oldies too.

I'm a yoyo dieter who has tried every diet under the sun from The Cambridge, through to Dukan, W.W., heart patients diet, boiled egg diet, banana diet, grapefruit diet, cabbage soup diet, special k, on-line diets and even a dietician. I lost nearly 8st before now.....& eventually, it slowly creeps back on.

This time on the S.W. diet, one I have tried before but only lasted a fortnight so here I am 7 yrs later at exactly the same weight...well 1lb heavier...all these years later despite all those diets. Now, having reached my 51st yr, I have decided to give S.W. a serious 'go' & it's sink or swim time. If I fail this time, I think I will just give up & be fat & unhappy forever. :(

This is the start of my 3rd week in, 3.5lb lost so far so early days but have lost weight despite my passion for red wine & a couple of hiccups when I fell off the wagon, so to speak lol!

To me, dieting has to mean a change in lifestyle & habits. Whilst I've always eaten healthily with the odd treats, it's the passion for the grape juice that makes my willpower evaporate & so a nibble at crisps & so on, but any lifestyle change has to include a couple of glasses mid week & a glass or three of a weekend (large of course!) So far S.W. has allowed me the freedom of working those syns in!!! If this continues, I could be converted lol!

Thanx for reading this & nothing more to add other than wish you all well and good luck with your fight......positive thoughts to you all.

Christina :wave_cry:

Hi and what a lovely post !!

Why thank you. Got a long way to go though before I'll be anywhere near...normal lol! Don't be fooled by the 52lb goal, I need to lose at least another 28 on top of that but slowly, slowly.

I'm not looking forward to the evils of temptation at Christmas and all that merry spirit around but hey, we have to learn to live and cope! With you kind people and the wonderful support, I'm sure we'll manage pretty damn fine. ;)

How u doing 2day, pet?

Oh wow someone Just like me, I wish you all the best! Think this forum will help us all greatly.

All I can dream of is fitting back in to my old clothes and not feeling uncomfortable all the time! Sw Christmas cookbook is fab! Here's to us x

Hmmm...Swiss food is pretty delish, 'specially the cheeses & fondue!!!

But the nice thing about S.W. for us hungry people is that if we're clever, we can still have some of the things we do like PROVIDING we work it in to our syns & follow the right plan for that day i.e. green, red or extra easy.

My biggest shock that I learned at my meeting last night is peanuts, one big handful....60 syns....eeeeeek! Did you hear me screaming all the way from Cyprus haha!

Hey There Chamonix Bee,

Good luck with the weight loss!
