Not enjoying this side of it

OK, I'm on the mini pill as only stopped breast feeding my son 5 weeks ago and my periods were few and far between. I am now on week 4 and am having my second period since starting. Don't fancy going week on/week off for the next few months. Does anyone else have this problem? or any advice as to why? or what I can do to try and change it?.
