Time for a change from SW to WW...?

Hello There,

I have been on Extra Easy with SW since April this year. I have lost nearly a stone.

I have enjoyed my time on SW as I do like cooking from scratch occassionally.

However I have been stuck at my current weight for 2 months and I have complately lost interest in SW now.

I fancy a change and I must admit I do like some of the ww meals, sausages etc and would appreciate being able to have the choice of cooking from scratch and having a ready meal....

However I don't have the time to join a club (currently in middle of a house move) and nor do I have the extra cash to pay for membership.

So, could anybody help me understand how weight watchers works and what plan is best to join and how to do it...

I REALLY would appreciate the guidance of fellow slimmers :)

My stats are below:

Female
9 stone 2lbs
5ft 2 inches.

Is there anything that is needed...?

Usually we need age to work out points allowance but going off my own stats of an inch taller and even when 2 stone heavier than you, I was always on 29 which until literally this week was the minimum. Now it's 26 but as there is no way to work this out yet until Jan, so you could be anywhere from 26-29 :) There's several posts around about both plans- http://www.minimins.com/weight-watc...ling-info-losing-maintaining.html#post4259253 (Simply Filling, the 'lesser' plan) and http://www.minimins.com/weight-watchers/176311-introducing-new-pro-points-plan.html (ProPoints, main plan) :)

Thanks very much :). I am 28. Ive seen some pro point starter kits on eBay - do you think £12 is a good price (includes the points wheel) and all books

that sounds quite reasonable to me, I got all my stuff off Ebay but with the calculator for £25 but then I joined online as there was a good deal £30 for 3 months and now I am sticking with online. There will always be someone online to answer any questions you might have though.

Good luck.

I moved from SW to WW for very similar reasons as you - I'm struggling at the mo but thats me and def not the diet which is brilliant x

I did SW for a year and last 1 stone in that time. Since I switched to WW I've lost 16lbs in 8 weeks :bliss:I love the ProPoints plan!
Simply Filling is very like SW but I don't think I could trust myself with portion sizes.

I think £12 sounds ok but I'd recommend a proper calculator if you can get hold of one - the cardboard thing is rubbish and really complicated IMO.

Excellent thanks! Ive ordered a pro points calculator :). What does this do? Can't wait for it all to come as I'm hoping I can loose before Xmas! Just hope I can get my head around it all

Wish I was 9.2! I'm the same height as you I'm 9.11 and I'm on 26pp I also came over from sw 4 weeks ago as I STS for months I haven't lost much but I've lost so I'm happy it slows down when you font have much to loose

Lol I wish I was 9.2 as well! I'm an inch taller and aiming for 9st lol.
