Christmas

I bet the majority of us have a goal we want to reach by Christmas? Well I do anyway, I'm aiming to be under 14st.

But what will you be doing food wise over Christmas? Will you think just not bother counting points for a day/few days/week? Or do you intend to stick to it?

My weigh in day is Friday, so that will be the 23rd. I'm working nights 22nd and 23rd so will probably weigh before I go to work on the 23rd and then not count points again until the 27th (my birthday is 24th so we will be having cake in the middle of the night!). I'm working nights over New Year so don't have to worry about then, although there will be party food at work.

My main issue with Christmas is not actually the food eaten and alcohol drunk for the few days over Christmas, but the boxes of chocolates I have to contend with afterwards!

I am going to find out how many points WW says I can eat without gaining weight and then try and stick within those on days that might be tricky. Hopefully that means I can still enjoy myself whilst stopping me going on an all out free for all bingefest. I bet I will be able to be under those points but at least it removes the stress of feeling guilty :)

What an excellent idea. I might try and do the same.

I always put on at least half a stone over christmas so i really want to not do that this year.

I would like to have reached my 10% by christmas........6.5 pounds to go!

My goal for xmas is to get to or under 13st (which is also my 5%) - another 6lbs to lose.

Over xmas at the moment my plan is to follow simply filling/filling and healthy. Luckily for my xmas schedule my WI is on a Monday and xmas is on a Sunday! I'm saving my weeklies for xmas eve/xmas day as I'm up at the in-laws and I just know my mother-in-law is going to be super supportive (HA!). I'm going to earn shed-loads of activity points so I have them to fall on as well.

On boxing day we then get together with all my side of the family for a meal out - which is why I'm glad WI is on a Monday as my weeklies will reset.

Basically, I plan to pretty much stick to the plan. In the past I always use birthdays/events as an excuse not to diet or for a day off, and I'm sick of yo-yo dieting. I want to lose weight for good now and keep it off!

I'm tracking. I don't go silly food-wise at Christmas and last year I lost weight just by being careful- before joining WW and after starting being healthier :)

I go to a class at work so will weigh in on the 20th but then I'm off for nearly 3 weeks :) I'm going to try Simply Filling while I'm off - mainly because OH is at home with me :( and it might be easier!

I am going to make sure that I do some exercise every day (walk, swim or bike ride) and I'm only having Christmas day off plan.

good luck !!!
my goal is to lose 4.8lb for christmas to take me to 9 stone 5lb and my weigh in days are saturdays mornings which means christmas eve for me, but i'm afraid i'm going to be naughty over christmas and i'll be stuffing my face but i'll also be hitting the gym as much as possible :break_diet:, hope you all reach your goals, what a great christmas prezzy that will be

I'm trying to stay on track and use my weekly point on the day and just normal WW the other days. I'm hoping to get to 13.5 so 5lb loss by Xmas :)

Reached goal beginning of the month. We go to the Canaries for Xmas; I'll point & watch what I eat the whole time, & do as much wasking & jogging as I can to maintain. I personally don't see the holidays as a reason to abandon what I've achieved!

i've decided i'm not watching everything i eat at christmas.
i'm going to eat and drink what i like christmas day, boxing day and new years eve and just have my 29pp the other days.
hoping that will give me a STS :)

I think that with the amount of things coming up leading up to Christmas it is going to be absolutely impossible to stick to points - I have 4 nights out next week alone!! I am going to try to maintain as I am happy enough with my weight at the moment then after Christmas get rid of the last stone!! I don't want to give up my social life for the sake of a fast weight loss, I want to be able to gradually do both and I think this is the only way I'll stick to it haha
