Got to stop eating!
Ok this has very littl relevance to CD but I am just soooo excited about Christmas.... I have always hated Christmas due to my family bickering and fighting over where we are going and things but this year I made my plans in september so that if anyone asked I can just say oh sorry I already have plans!

SO I am thinking as I am in a jolly mood today i want everyone to shre the things that they LOVE about Christmas.

so for me my fave thing is making the dinning room table look all pretty and each year buying a new table cloth and placemats and then getting little sparkly christmas trees on spreading them on the table! Oh and drinking champagne in the morning before breakfast!!!

How about you......????

Ooooh great thread!!

I love the smell of Christmas. I know that sounds really stupid, but when you have the tree up, and the fire going and the cooking etc... it's just lovely. I haven't felt particularly Christmassy for a few years now but started to feel it already! LOL :D

My favourite part of Christmas has actually happened three weeks ago - - its baking the cake a la st delia!

I make it mid september then feed it with brandy every week until i ice it two weeks before the big day

I also love Christmas morning when everyone else in my family goes to church and i stay home alone getting lunch prepared and listening to carols and sipping baileys.

OOOh i LOVE it!

slushy i am loving the idea that you send them to church and then have a glass of baileys! Lmao!

I have to say one of my fave christmas's EVER was a few years ago when my BF dad did a treasure hunt for all of us on christmas day it was like being children again he had put the clues all ove the woods and the fields and parks around his house! and at the end there were bottles of champagne at the end of it!

oh the memories!!!

xxxx

I LOVE the presents! My little borthers face when he opens his is my fave sight in the whole wide world and I don't mind getting them too!

Yeah I love buying all the pressies and watching people open them! I go a bit mad round xmas!

Did anyone elses parents buy you a special Christmas day outfit when you were younger????

Maybe this year as we are all looking sooo much better we should buy ourselves a Christmas outfit! and then gorge our way through all the food so that they outfit doesn't fit on Boxing Day!!!! teehee!!!

xxx

First of all I love christmas shopping. I even love all the catalogues like Boots, M&S etc, so I can browse and write down ideas

Then I love writing my christmas cards, and helping the children do theirs.

A few weeks before christmas I love wrapping the presents.

Decorating the tree is great, although it always looks a right state as the children like to help!

Christmas eve is brilliant. I like to be the last to go to bed and do the stockings etc. Father Christmas leaves them downstairs in our house, to make life easier.

The on the big day I love everything, from the presents and food, to seeing family and going for a walk to feed the ducks after lunch.

oh and ive forgotten the nativity plays and carol concerts. Note to self...remember tissues this year.

I am with Slushy, one of my favorite parts of Christmas is the cake - I am doing mine next week. This year though I am cutting the cake into quarters, keeping one and giving the other 3 away DAMAGE LIMITATION ;).

Every year I choose a lovely bath treat for myself from lush which I have on Christmas morning.

Previously I have always chosen to wear my baggy relaxing clothes on Christmas day but this year to celebrate my new figure (and remind me to watch how much and what I eat) I think I am going to buy a special outfit.

I have already started thinking about the menu for Christmas as I WILL be maintaining by then - I am busy looking at lots of low fat/GI/GL options/recipes that both myself and my OH can have.

Sounds like you really like christmas..... almost as much as me!

You getting excited yet or what!??!!!

REALLY excited!! Ive done about half of my christmas shopping already and the girls have written their letters (god I hope they don't change their minds!)

I'm almost ready for christmassy songs on the radio. Its Chriiiiiistmaaaaaaaas :D

im at slushys house for that cake lol

my favourite bit of xmas is decorating the tree putting fairy lights up round the room , switching on my new fire with its lovley surround all decked out with the fireplace wreath and switching the main lights out, putting a nice christmassy film on and its perfect, and this year i was given off freecycle a shed load of burgundy tree decorations as i have just done my lounge in black pine and burgundy so im really looking forward to putting my tree up this year i might have to do it in november lol

I love the cheesyness of Christmas, but Hubby is a bit of a misery!!

Thankfully now that Jessica will be 2 this year, I can relive my Christmas's with her! We are hoping to move house and be in new one before Christmas, so I can go ott on the decorating as it will be a bigger house!!
I haven't started shopping yet, but I never seem to rush it even at the last few days.

We may have dinner with our Parents, but I would prefer to have just me, Hubby and Jessica have it together. We would then visit Parents and In-Laws Boxing Day.

I am excited now!!!

I just love all of Christmas. The build up, the shopping - guilt free spending if it is for someone else!

But this year, Ia m planning on SSing most of Christmas. We are having Christmas dinner at home this year, so I am in charge of cooking and dishing up. I will have turkey and green veggies, and possibly a dash of gravy (well, it is Christmas after all!!) but no potatoes or stufing etc, and SS the rest of the time, unless it falls on AAM week. I must do some sums!!

I should be almost 11 stone by then - all going well! I will treat myself to something nice to wear!

Am more excited now than I was when I started typing this!!

I get up early light a christmas spice candle, put on the "best christmas album in the world ever (part 669 lol)
get all the food prep done and the turkey in ( cook for at least 10 ) all family come to me.

I get my table done ( i love doing it all up) mum does me a table arrangement, I also do different every year, this year its dark green and silver, I buy little favours from Chocolate for chocoholics (online) for every plate and a little reindeer choc for my son and nephew.

Then start on brekky for everyone usualy something like scrambled egg and prawns and always bucks fizz.

I love the day and love spoiling everyone, open pressies after brekkie, I usually get to open mine about 5 oclock ,I`m all excited now.

Apart from this year as we are moving house on the 21st december, it could be down to 3 frzen turkey dinners or dinner at my sisters, but no Turkey as she is vegetarian and won`t cook it or have it in her oven lol ( frozen it may be)

ooooooo lucylu i`d like to find him in my stocking xmas morning lol

wonder if he`s nice looking under that hat,,,,,,,,who cares his bods gorgeous lol
