why isnt it working????

Hi, dont despair and dont give up!

Are you doing it alone?, at class? online?

Tracking everything?
Doing heavy weight or serious cardio training?

Give us a few of your days food and what points your on and of course which plan your following and someone will be able to help.

Hi Lauren, ive been disappointed wov my weight loss 2. Only lost 2.5lb in 3 weeks! Trying to stay focused though and keep thinking to myself that it's got to come off eventually. Stick with it, stick with me and we WILL do it x

Hi Lauren,

I have been frustrated 2. I've only lost 2.5lb in 3 weeks! Was hoping for more than that in the 1st week. Trying to stay positive tho and keep thinking it's got to come off eventually. Stick with it!!! X

Hang on in there. I wonder how many of your weekly points you're using, because I'm not a very active person I try to stick to my daily points as much as I can. Good luck.

Hi love, hope you're a bit less depressed. I agree 100% with all the comments you have received. If you have been doing exercise, it might be that your body's composition is changing and you're putting on muscle mass that replaces the fat you're losing, and you weight the same on the scales, bu your inches go down. How do your clothes feel? Any looser?

On the 1st of October I took my monthly measurements. On the 1st of November I checked them out. I had lost only 3 lbs in 1 month, BUT I lost 2 cm off my waist, 1 cm off my breasts, 1 cm off my hips, 0.5 cm off my thighs and 2 cm (!!!!) off my knees. That is an AWFUL amount of cms for one who is on maintenance and has been at goal for a while. I notice the difference in my clothes, as the size 6 trousers I wear in work as part of my uniform were tight in September, were just a little bit tight in October, and now are starting to be well fitting, slightly loose.

You might think I don't have much to lose now --- yes I don't, but I have, I lost over 60 lbs, nearly 70 with WW. in mid august I have returned from my 5 week long honeymoon with a few lbs on (1 full stone... ahem...) and since then, I have lost 11 lbs already, only 3 to go... BUT my trousers feel looser now than before going on holidays! So I must have put on some muscles in the meantime.

My suggestion is to keep track of your measurements. In the end of the day, you don't want to lose 50 lbs of muscles and keep the fat, you want to lose 35/40 lbs of fat and only 10/15 lbs of muscles (you WILL lose muscle mass unfortunately there's nothing you can do about it...). Give your body time. I don't think WW is a difficult diet to follow, it gives you all the flexibility that you need to still have a life. Take WW as a change for life, you WILL NOT be able to get back to eating what you did before, nor will you be able to return to your usual 'sofa-lover' attitude (I beg your pardon if you weren't fitting this description ;)), the changes you do now will be permanent. Hence... what's the problem if you lose only 2 or 3 lbs in a month? 3 lbs a month mean 36 lbs in a year, which means 72 lbs in 2 years. You need to lose 5st 2, don't you. You'll be nice and at goal by Christmas 2013. Happy life :)

i havent being doing any exercise just my usual walking liam to nursery. im sticking to my 36 points a day. using about 6 weeklies. i have been tracking my measurements and havent lost anything. im just very confused.

then I would say probably you need to up your exercise. Check what you're eating. Are you having too much free fruit? Are you having too much sugary food that increase your insulin level and stop your weight loss? You know, points ain't all the same, 6pp of a mars bar are very different from 6pp of a salmon fillet... I know it might sound stupid advice, but maybe it is a good idea for you to post your diaries, so if there's anything you can't see but someone else can, they migth point you to the right direction!

Hi Lauren. Sirry you're feeling down & frustrated. First of all, don't give up! WW does work! You may need to tweak & adjust what you're eating & your exercise. I got to goal last week, although I've been @ my goal weight for about a month, I just set the goal @ meeting last week with the leader. Do you mind a few tips that help me @ my friends who go to meetings?

First, track everything! I use my iPhone & iPad app, plus esource, but use the tracking booklet, or just a notebook. But track everything that goes into your mouth. I think WW works because this is accountability...we own up to exactly what we eat. If you go to meetings, get the monthly pass w access to esource; if you don't go to meetings, see if you can afford esource @ the WW website. If you can't, you can pick up the info cheap on ebay. But track everything!

Increase your activity level. Take the kids to the park, use the stairs in your house as a mini gym. Go for walks.

Think about what you eat. WW is very flexible, it's true; you can eat any kind of stuff as long as you track it. But...simple carbs & starches won't help you lose. Try cutting down the bread & potatoes...if you're still eating several slices of bread each day, that might be enough to hold you back. You get more nutritional bang for the buck out of fresh fruit & veg, & they are 0PP. An apple tastes great, is cheap, & 0PP...what is a slice of cake?

Anyhow, it took me a couple of weeks to tweak my food to where I started losing fairly consistently. You CAN do it!
