Stomach aches

I'm having these stomach aches the whole day and I remember not having them the first time when I was on LT. It seems to be a bit better after I've eaten some solid food (well, at least it did yesterday, today not had any normal food). Does anyone else have this problem?

It's quite annoying, not sure it's because I'm so hungry or that it might be something else. It's not the cramps even though it's totm.

I don't think I've had stomach aches quite as you describe. I had a bit last night, but it wasn't til this morning that I realised I'd forgotten to have my third shake, so that was probably it.

How long have you been back on the tfr? and when you said "solid food" was it real food, or the flapjacks that you meant?

Hi Marianne, I started back on LT this Monday so it's day 3. With solid food I meant having 100gr of sliced chicken fillet (the ones for a sandwich). I don't eat the flapjacks as they taste like card board and the chicken soup makes me physically ill.
I do notice that my stomach's rumbling a bit... it might be too much information but I mean gas wise :)
I'm not constipated cos I take my psylium husk twice a day and went this morning so it can't be that either. I guess I just have to get used to not eating at all.... might start going 100% when I get into ketosis. x
 
Mmm, if it's only day 3 then yes, maybe it's just an initial reaction that hopefully will pass. Do you use the ketostix or whatever they are (I've never used them :)) to check whether you're still able to get into ketosis while eating chicken? Controversial, I'm sure :)D), but it might work for you, and then as you say, once you're in ketosis you may feel fine to go 100%...

I've bought Ketostix and yes I use them. I used to have extra protein once a week as I was in the gym 6 days a week just to get some extra calories in and I was always in ketosis. If you need to it, only if you need to, best thing is to stick to protein as that will not kick you out of ketosis.

i get pains... they are like achs.. deffo hunger for me cos by day 5 they dissapear.x

Lucy. but I found out that if I mix my psyllium husk with my shake, I'm fuller for a longer time. Just wish the migraine would go away :(
 
Mirjam re the migraine... they say these can be avoided if you drink the suggested amount of water (2 to 4 litres a day) Have you managed to drink that much?
 
Hi Linda, I drink 3L of water a day but suffer from migraine since I was 16... not being in ketosis yet somehow makes it worse. On the other hand, no more stomach aches :) AND the scales showed a 9lbs loss since this Monday so I'm :wee: x

9lb loss already!! Well done you :)

Thanks Liz, but this is on my scales, official WI is Monday but am very pleased with the loss so far, didn't expect it to go down that quick especially as I only lost 400gr on my scales the first 4 days in January of this year.... but when I got to the pharmacy I lost 10lbs!
