Foster care for an lively collie dog in west yorkshire?

Hi I'm not sure how many people will remember me & my mother in law who drinks alot. Things came to head yesterday when she was rushed into hospital with possible kidney & liver failure & to be honest the outlook isn't good. She has a collie dog that is a bit of handful that if she pulls through this will want the dog as it was her partners who died so at the moment we are a bit stuck as no one else in the family can take the dog & at the moment it is a dog sitter but thats only till the end of the week. Ideally we would like the dog rehomed as it will be fairer on all concerned but if & when she can make this decision we need a plan B in the meantime. So I was wondering does anyone know of anyone that will take dogs in on a temporary basis while we can see what happens ie while people are in hospital? I have tried the internet & drawn a blank really as most things seem on a permanent basis

thanks in advance
