Tummy Troubles

Midnight-Sparkles

I can do this!
Hello all you nice people doing slim & save :D

I am currently on week 3 of Exante and ever since I started I have been suffering with chronic wind and stomach discomfort. (I am not constipated so it is not from that) but it just feels like my stomach can't digest the Exante products all that well.

I have done Cambridge and Lipotrim in the past and never had this problem with their products.

I am seriously thinking of switching to Slim and save if these stomach problems dont start to ease off soon as I am permanantly uncomfortable in my tummy.

My question is this. How do you find the slim and save products? Is anyone having wind or digestion problems or are they gentler. I am wondering if the food packs would help with my problem.

Also whilst were on the subject does anyone get constipated on this diet whilst using the meal packs?

Thanks for reading guys and look forward to your replies. :D

Is it the bars in particular that are giving you the issues? I heard that a lot of people on Exante can't tolerate the bars. Personally I've not had any digestion problem with the Slim and Save products (except the economy shakes which are no longer being sold anyway I believe). In fact, because I have a gastrointenstinal disease I've found the shakes wonderfully light and soothing on my digestive system :)

In regards to constipation, my health issues mean I'm probably not the best one to advise you on this - my bowels are chronically the other way  However, I think if you try and eat the daily vegetable allowance you'll certainly be getting enough roughage to keep everything functioning properly.

Good luck if you decide to switch - personally I think it's worth it. Slim and Save is wonderful value and tastes really good!

I don't find that any of the packs cause me any digestive problems at all. I've got a bit of a cast iron stomach to be honest :). I do however get constipated on this type of diet and need senna a couple of times a week to help things along a bit. I was the same when I did Lipotrim. On just the packs I manage to 'go' about once a week. When I have the veg as well it's about twice a week.

ok im going to totally embarrass myself now so here goes , i am usually quite a windy person if you get my drift , when im eating normally ie overeating normal carb high food

one of the things i like about this plan is that it almost completely stops my wind, i did however suffer constipation in the past when i did it , but i was on the old packs and now i have the new so hopefully i wont suffer this time around , im also thinking about having my 200g daily veg allowance which may change things , better or worse , not sure yet

Thank you all so much for your replies.

LucySera I dont think its just the bars making me windy because it usually starts after my first shake and I save the bar till the evening so I can enjoy it watching TV with a cup of tea. Its probably all the items contributing.

I think I am going to order some fibreclear from the lipotrim website and add that to my shakes in the future, I also have some dulcolax pico perles just as a back up and hopefully that may sort me out.

I am now very very tempted to switch from exante. I am on my third week so still have a week and a half of Exante products to use up, but when I re-order next week I will probably get my stuff from slim and save. :D

Thanks again ladies :)
