Hi guys I'm on exante at mo but so sick of limited flavours, am thinking of starting s&s, what do ppl think of the flavours ? Or the spag Bol and cottage pie , what's the best way to make up the porridge??
I'm a bit confused as to having milk as were not allowed it on exante how much do you folks have?
Thanks sorry about all the questions

I love the spag bol but am not a lover of the cottage pie. Think of a cottage pie with mashed potato all stirred up into the 'meat' section and that's what it's like! It's also fairly bland so if I have it I usually stir in a bit of curry powder to spice it up a bit.

I like the premium vanilla, choc, banana and strawberry shakes but haven't tried any of the new flavours yet. The economy ones are :yuk:.

The soups are ok but I'm not a lover of the soups in general but the bars are great. I like the choc truffa and the lemon bars best of all.

The porridge is ok but a bit of an aquired taste. I was making it up with skimmed milk to start with and only had it at weekends, a. because it is more of a faff to make and I can't do it at work and b. because the calories are higher given the 150ml of skimmed milk. However I've been using water recently and it tastes ok like that and it takes 50 calories off the total :).

No other milk is officially allowed but if you consider that you could have 150ml skimmed in the porridge then I suppose that milk could be used in tea / coffee instead as long as you don't have more than a couple of cups or so and don't have the porridge with milk as well. I don't take milk in tea anyway and don't have a lot of coffee so just have the occasional cup with milk as a treat (maybe 2 cups a week). This has never taken me out of ketosis.

Hope this helps.

Phoenix I had the spag Bol today yummmmmm
And I tried the porridge, I stupidly added sweetner before tasting and it's really sweet anyway , so caution! taste it first. Also the hazelnut shake I added sweetener to before tasting and it was far too sweet so again if you have them ,taste the hazelnut shakes first.
More reviews to come lol x

Yeah, the shakes / porridge are pretty sweet to start with so don't really need additional sweetener. At least you know for next time :). Glad you liked the spag bol, most people do and it's a lifesaver for me. I still like it after 13 weeks :).

I know lol, I replied to you

im yet to try the porridge so ill let you know how that goes , apparently is a bot tricky to get right , how did you get on

phoenix I actually find it easier to make up with water than milk (but I don't know if it's because I've had more practice than when I used the milk). I put in a fraction more water than it says. Whatever you do watch the microwave as twice the microwave's glass plate and side of the bowl has been wearing the porridge because it bubbled over the top of the bowl :). A nice deep bowl is best to avoid that scenario.

Mmmm my mouth is watering here!!
