Hi All

I'm new to WW and have been watching the threads on here in the back ground. I was wondering if anyone has have mega tips for me, I'm getting married in 2013, ordered the dress yesterday and have 10months before I have to measure for it, do I have that long to loose (safely) ad much weight and inches as possible.

Problem is I have PCOS and an under active thyroid so at times I feel screwed :( first week I lost 2lb and last week I put on 2lb (can only think it was my totm because that's my usual pattern)

So if you have any tips and advice I would be so grateful - and the seams of my beautiful white dress would be xx

hello Loubie! congratulations on setting a wedding date by the way! exciting!

I think my best tip would be to track everything you eat...the weeks i track properly and stick to the points i lose weight, and i'm still on medication which contributed to the weight gain in the first place. Second tip would be to get some low pointed snacks in for when you do want something so you can have a snack without blowing your points.

are you going to a class?

good luck! x

Hi Loubie,Welcome to WW and minimins. Congratulations on setting the day and try to enjoy every minute of the build up:D. Its great to have a goal to aim for. I have an underactive thyroid too so can understand your frustration. Are you on medication now for it ?.

You have to be prepared for the fact that its not going to fall off in half stones but a steady1-2lb a week is possible. TOTM can make 2-3 lb difference in my weight so dont let that dishearten you.

As Pickles said tracking is vital ,and having lots of fruit (free on PP) and low point snacks around so if you do nibble it will be low point stuff and not a big breakout. Best of luck. let us know how you are getting on.

Hi and welcome to Minimins! Congratulations on your engagement first of all - it's really exciting isn't it! We've been engaged nearly two years but still don't have any wedding plans - OH said if I lose weight we can think about getting married so that is a good motivation for me :)

Let us know how you get on xxx

Hi Ladies
Sorry I disappeared works been manic

I still don't feel like I've lost any but I've been eating regularly and exercising every night!

I'm on 50mg for my thyroid

And I've put a deposit on my dress so the weight has to come off! Xx

Don't stress too much - it sometimes takes you body time to adjust. Sometimes I feel like I've lost nothing and I've lost 2lbs! So don't always go by that.

I meant to say in my other post that I have PCOS too - it is a little harder, but once the weight starts to come off the PCOS symptoms get better, so even more incentive :) xxx
