I have one favorite food in the world and it is - Tesco full fat caramalised onion hummus. I have not bought it since starting as I can't portion it. I have to eat the whole tub.

It in no way is going to make me give up but just wondered if anyone has completly lost motivation because of one thing?

By the way how many syns would it be?

And please do not suggest the half fat one it tastes horrible lol xx

Oooh so many things, but one thing I loved every now and then was dominos pizza, no other pizza will do! It contains SO MANY syns its not even worth having one slice (and anyway one slice isnt enough lol).

According to my food directory 2011, Tesco Caramelised Onion Houmous is 2 syns per level table spoon.
I'm missing certain foods, but not enough to fall off the wagon. I miss being able to just say "to hell with it!" and order a pizza or something for dinner. The kids miss chinese food lol

Thanks for the syn value mate. One day i might have a flexy syn day and enjoy a whole tub with a bunch of celery YUMMY!!!

Jam donuts for me!! mmmmm!! I could seriously eat a whole bag of them so i just stay clear! KFC is another vice of mine but I still have one now and again and just flexi-syn it. x

Pastry and Croissants are my weakness, I used to buy a sausage roll and just eat the pastry, buy a pack of croissants and eat the lot, I miss them but not enough to ruin the diet I hope.

I am missing being lazy - getting home, not bothering to cook and ordering takeaway!

Jael I agree with you on the Ben and Jerrys front, but for me its got to be the Phish Food..have ben toying with getting the yogurt one in and having it as Syns but I know onece its opened its not really going to go back in the freezer :p

Also the red Lindt chocolate balls, I keep seeing them in the shops now Christmas is on its way and they are divine x

Take aways are being compensated by the money I am saving and the feeling I get on weigh in day :D

Majority of weeks I stick to plan. Other weeks, if I feel like a take-away pizza I have one - probably why my weight loss has been slower than most. But this is my way of life living now and to forgo a pizza for the rest of my life - NO WAY!

So personally, for me, if I want a pizza once a month then I will have it. I know where I went wrong in the past and know that I can have a pizza then go back to "healthy" eating again afterwards - I don't need to keep having "bad" food as I did before. Obviously I don't have it once a week!

Fried breakfasts were always high on the agenda, but now I don't look twice at a fried breakfast - shows that in 2 years I can now make good choices.

I set myself a new year's resolution of no McDonalds, KFC or BurgerKing which I've stuck to (a major acievement for me). I've extended it since then to none til I reach my target weight. I'm hoping by then that the habit of getting drive through on the way home will be gone and can just have a VERY occasional one if I'm out in town.

I didn't think so, but after 4 weeks on track / plan, I had a massive blowout last night on party buffet food. Like 40 syns worth, at a halloween party (sounds so bad, 4 mini sausage rolls, 2 pieces bread with butter, onion ring, blue riband, shortbread biscuit...) I think I know now that I just have to avoid stuff like that entirely as I got moreish with it, then felt 'i've slipped up already, might as well have what I want' Doh!

there isnt anything i really miss as i still eat everything i used to... only not to the same proportion. right from the start i have still eaten the 'bad' foods, if i include it into my syns or if i eat it offplan i just don't feel upset if i have a gain. i do find though if i go overboard with the rich foods, i feel like rubbish, so i sort of know when to stop and its only ever for one meal and i'm straight back on plan.
if i hadnt given myself some leeway i would have probably given in by now. i've lost an average of 1lb or less per week but i knew i was in it for the long haul so im quite happy :)

I guess the only real thing I miss is kettle chips! Yep I know I could have them however I'd want to have a massive bag of the which is around 37syns from memory, believe me I have thought about it! Before SW I poured the bag out onto a bowl and I was surprised at how little you actually get!

Crisps are defo my downfall!

at the minute, id kill for a slice of carrot cake! Lol!
might have to pop shops tomorrow with my book to look at syns if im still craving it then! lol

Dominoes for me ... Mmmmmmm! I've been having the turkey pizzas from the slimming world magazine though...they are a good substitute I have to say but just not as yummy!
