Is anyone having a go at NaNoWriMo this year? (Write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days)

National Novel Writing Month

I did it last year and managed 54,000 words - mainly drivel - but it was a good challenge. Looking back, there were some parts I don't remember writing at all, and I managed to resurrect one of my characters :8855:

It starts a week tomorrow, but I'm not even sure of my plot yet. Eek!

I put my name down a few months ago and was reminded in an email a few weeks ago, could gimme the kick up the bum I need!

I'm thinking of doing it. Did it two years ago and enjoyed it (although I've never looked at the novel since - I know it needs severe rework!). But it's a good thing to do & I do have an idea for this year. If I do going to use Scrivener for it. Just discovered this absolutely brilliant word processing tool for novel writing. Currently using it for a spoof World of Warcraft book I'm publishing chapter by chapter on my blog & it's helping me keep track of everything. I think it will make NaNoWriMo life easier.

Well done on completing last year! I tried last year and gave up after about 8k. Not sure if I'll do it this year as I've got an OU TMA due at the end of the month :/
