MEATBALLS!!! HELP!!!

Lozz

Ready For Change!
Hello all i have taken out some extra lean mince for todays dinner and fancy meatballs...

Does anyone have any new or creative sauces to serve them with..?

All suggestions welcome...
Thank you in advance! :bighug:

I normally make a fresh tom & basil sauce. (oven roast lots of toms, peppers, onion. garlic then add seasoning and blitz)
yummy with meatballs x

roast red pepper, carrot, courgette, onion garlic, 1 can chopped tomatoes, blitz together with about 75mls of water ( depends how thick you like the sauce) add a little sweetener to your taste....yummy...my fave!

I normally make tomato and balsamic.

Brown the meatballs, add garlic, peppers (if you fancy them) and onions to pan and cook for a few minutes. Add tub of passata or tin of chopped toms, some salt and pepper and a very generous slug of balsamic (I am never shy when it comes to balsamic) and reduce. The meatballs will finish cooking in the sauce. If I have any fresh herbs, especially basil they go in too!

We had that last night with HEXA cheese and wholemeal pasta. Lush.

OR the other thing I'm dying to try is the creamy one on the Philly advert!
Swedish Meatballs in Creamy Philly Sauce with Tagliatelle That looks pretty easily adaptable. I might give it a go next week :D

Thanks gals!!!
I was thinking of making the one from the philli advert, but im new at this...
If you do make the philli one ive love to know how it turns out!! (adapted of course) I've just been out and bought a few fresh veggies gonna roast and blitz them and see how it turns out!
Think im gonna get some balsamic and try that next week!
They all sound yummy ((hurry up oven))

I made chicken, bacon, garlic, red pepper and onion all fried until soft, stirred in Philly chilli flavour and chilli with taglietelle. I recon this would work with meatballs. It was yummy.

Update. I tried this one Philly Meatball Pasta tonight and it was really really lush. I used 100g Extra Light Philly between the two of so it was 1/2 HEXA. I used my own meatballs too rather than sausages :)

Really really yummy, for only 1/2 a syn!

Every time I watch this Philadelphia advert my mouth waters but didn't think I'd be able to have it on SW....... I am so trying this recipe ASAP, looks absolutely scrummy!!! Thanks for the thread peeps :) Xxxxxx
