Hi everyone,

I've been doing slimming world since August now, and it's going well, average of just over 2lb a week loss, but over the past week or so, i just can't seem to satisfy my hunger. Today for breakfast i've had 28g porridge 1 scan bran with 250mls semi skimmed milk topped with banana, i've had an apple for a snack, then for lunch i've had 2 small jacket potatoes with ham cheese (synned) and beans, with a fair sized salad follwed by another banana...but i'm still hungry...i'm eating enough that i am comfortably full after food but it seems about an hour or so later i'm ravenous...any ideas?? x

I think we all get like that sometimes, for who knows what reason. I had 2 weeks recently where I was such a pig - one day I had 4 cooked meals in one day! But I still followed SW and still lost a pound that week. Last couple of weeks, most days I'm not really hungry and I've hardly had a substantial meal. Today I'm back to piggery again lol. I think it's normal, as your body needs different things at different times and as long as you stick to plan, you should be fine.

It has got a lot colder these last weeks as well, so you could be burning off more food to stay warm and thus your body wants a bit extra

I am sticking to plan, and resisting temptation to eat anything more than i have been doing previous weeks, just the odd extra piece of fruit here and there.

Ha..i'd love to use the cold weather as an excuse but as i am currently living in Cyprus....i don't think i can use that one! x

If you are hungry, EAT. That's the rules of this plan.

There is nothing wrong with eating more as long as: a) you are genuinely hungry, b) it's free.

Remember on EE start with superfree and if you are still hungry then have something more substantial. There is no point in sitting there hungry when there is so much free food to eat- honestly your body may just need more food.

Try making some soups then if your still hungry you can quickly warm some up - pea & mints my fav along with carrot & coriander.

Thanks for the replies ladies, will take it on board. I'm feel like i'm eating loads of food all the time, and i'm not shy with my portions either. Have had quite a substantial roast for dinner tonight, and that was an hour and a half ago and still feeling satisfied from it...lets see how tomorrow goes. x
