5 min on bike

stretch and go?

any ideas

sounds good, for the actual workouts id keep the resistance a bit hugher than normal and build it up from there.

thanks hun, they do have some workouts on their website but they are for 60 mins each.... am looking forward to it too

i try and do 30 mnutes on the cross trainer but i get bored easy on gym eqipment! any longer than 10 minutes and im bored of it :p

you could do the 60 minutes by just repeating the routine too :)

Hi

I used to be a member of my local pure gym and thought it was a really good gym :) I'd say what you are planning to do looks good and just to keep mixing it up- getting stuck in a rutt has always been my problem with gyms!! I'd also recommend taking an iPod with some really up tempo tunes, this always helps me anyway!! The songs pure gym played were rubbish, thats my only criticism of the place though! Good luck :)

try interval training. 30 mins is plenty for that. do a fast 5 min intensity then a lower 5 min intensity. swap equipment when you get fed up. with the 5 min blocks work hard for 1 min, slower and easier for recovery for 1 min etc rpt. add a few weights to build muscle.

remember dynamic (moving) stretches first and static cool down stretches. very important to avoid injury.

gina..... noticed your running stuff :) what training are you planning? if you need running advice let me know. done several 5ks, 10ks and a few half marathons :) i know how to train to get faster if that's what you want!
