Hello everyone!

I'm not the most confident person when it comes to exercising in public and I go BRIGHT RED... so I tend to shy away from classes usually.

Anyway Groupon had an offer too good to resist on Zumba classes so I've bought 10weeks of Zumba and was just wondering what to expect and any tips you have for a newbie :)

xx

I hate doing any kind of public exercise but I have really enjoyed Zumba! It seems to be a class that any ability can do and no one seems to care! The classes I've been to have had women of all shapes and sizes ( and a couple of men!!) Just go with an open mind and let yourself go! Enjoy x

bring plenty of water, a towel. wear comfortable trainers. a sports bra and top/trousers you can move in. be prepared to sweat, smile and have a great time. focus on your feet rather than getting everything going at once. the key is the feet... honest. do not stop. do not sit down as your likely to bottom your bp! if you are finding it hard side step or march on the spot to lower your heart rate.

Biggest piece of advice - dont worry!! Seriously. I really do suck quite badly at dancing even with the basic moves in Zumba class I'm no better lol but honestly, no one cares. They are too busy dancing and having fun themselves :D Enjoy yourself!

Thank you all for the lovely replies and advice. I LOVE ZUMBA - had so much fun and didn't even mind the public exercise or the fact I have little coordination hehe :)

CONVERT :) xx

brilliant. i remember my first session and the buzz. it was amazing!
