TJ's weight-loss journey

I am Terri, I'm 26 years old. I have done slimming world before and got down to 12 stone but got pregnant and piled it all back on using it as an excuse to eat what I like

I am pregnant again (30weeks tomorrow) and I have decided I can't use pregnancy as an excuse. Ok it has probably got something to do with my hormones too but I am so upset with myself for letting myself get to this size, I was crying alot about my weight (out of sight of my hubby) and everyone could see how depressed I was :break_diet:

I joined a slimming world group on the 5th october 2011 and even though I haven't lost loads of weight, I am happier in myself just knowing I am doing all I can to get to where I want to be (slim!) :p
I am not crying about my weight, I don't feel down about it because I know I will get there ;)

This diary is to help me, so I can look back on my good days when I am having really bad days, and so I can see just how far I have come when I may start to go off-track

So this is my diary - my journey from 16st 12lbs to 10st. . . . . and this time it's staying OFF! :D

Back-dating my diary. The week I joined Slimming World.

Went to group on Wednesday 5th October to join. Brilliant consultant. . . Jill. Went away from group feeling like "yes I can do this" and was very determined.

Stuck to plan well but two days in I was struggling, didn't help that my hubby was sat there infront of me eating chocolate and crisps. . . . I went onto the slimming world website and read success stories. . . . my determination was back!

The weekend came. . . . my hubby has never cooked cakes before but this weekend he feels the need to bake!
The house was full with the smell of cakes, that was bad enough. . . . I ate an apple and a muller light yoghurt (not what I wanted. . . I wanted the cakes!) but I stayed away from them. . . . then my hubby and 3children were all eating cakes infront of me in the livingroom in the evening. . . . IS EVERYONE AGAINST ME LOSING WEIGHT?. . . .That's how it felt to me

I still stayed away from the cakes and made myself a bowl of weetabix with low cal sugar. . . . yes I beat temptation, so proud of myself :D

Still having my evening treat . . . a two fingered kit kat or a broken up curly wurly. . . need the chocolate fix atm! :8855:

Back-dating my diary. 1st weigh-in.

After one hell of a struggle of a first week I stepped on the scales at weigh-in and had lost 5.5lbs! Was very glad I stuck to plan :D

Feeling very motivated after the 5.5lbs weightloss this week, and to think I lost that much and I was 28weeks pregnant!!! :p

My hubby is still eating lots of junk food infront of me, but it doesn't seem to be affecting me much this week.
Been keeping to my 5-15 syns a day and don't feel like i'm missing out.

Cooked loads of nice meals this week. . . stew, stir-fry, chips gammon and egg, roast dinner etc. . . feels like a really good week to me. Hoping for atleast a 2lb weight-loss

Been on the extra easy plan since I started, and it really has been easy!

Week 1 ~ -5.5lbs :D 6st 6.5lbs to go!

Back-dating my diary. 2nd weigh-in.

After a good week, I stepped on the scales at slimming world and I had lost 3lbs! :D I am a very happy bunny. 8.5lbs lost so far.

Got my 1/2 stone award and slimmer of the week. Was very pleased with myself.

Had a fab time at group, so many friendly people and again I have to say Jill is great, very friendly and so helpful, she sent me a card welcoming me to group and txts during the week which helps to keep me going knowing I have the support there.

Joined Jills facebook slimming world group she had set up for midweek support and I look on there daily, it helps seeing people going through the same as you during the week, and everyone is happy to give advice and help people out when they are struggling.

So far the week is going well, though it is only friday and we have got hubby's mum over on sunday for an early celebration of hubby's birthday. . . . I am going to try to stick to plan and be good though. . . . would love to lose another 14lbs before christmas (about 1.5lbs a week).

First weigh-in ~ 16st 12lbs. 6st 12lbs to go!
Week 1 ~ -5.5lbs :D 6st 6.5lbs to go!
Week 2 ~ -3lbs :D 6st 3.5lbs to go! Slimmer of the week and 1/2stone award

sounds like your doing brilliantly, you should be so proud of yourself for avoiding temptation and not giving in! im quite lucky as my OH is doing SW with me, so hes not baking cakes lol. I have seen a recipe for a 1/2 syn cake, the whole cake for half a syn! Will have to try that i think!!

Well done on your weightless so far, you are doing so well. When I was pregnant I used the excuse of eating what I liked so well done you coz I think the temptation is even harder. Your hubby sounds a little like my hubby2B, he's often coming home with chocolate. ;-)

Hi, thanks :)
I think I know the cake you are on about, it is really nice but goes a bit soggy if left for too long, that's the only problem I found with it, and that was because of the filling.

lol, one the one hand my hubby says he supports me and then he asks if we can have take away, or asks if I want chocolate and cakes. . . . saying no so often to him now I think has helped as he doesn't seem to try to tempt me as much.
Tommorrow is going to be a struggle though, with hubby's mum and step dad coming over, just going to try my best to stay on plan, really hoping for a good weightloss again on wednesday :p

3rd weigh-in

After another good week, I stepped on the scales at slimming world and I had lost another 2lbs! :D 10.5lbs lost in just 3weeks, not bad going for a pregnant lady! ;)

Recieved my 1/2stone award certificate in the post a couple of days ago, I am planning on putting them up on a board infront of my treadmill (a bit of encouragment to use the treadmill more plus I will see it as I walk into the kitchen!)

Managed to get through the weekend of having my mother in-law round and made a vegetarian lasagne with quorn mince, hubby's mum loved it! So no syns used up that day except for the cheese sauce (2syns).
Still on track to lose that extra 14lbs before christmas (about 1.5lbs a week), 12lbs to go :p

HOWEVER it is hubby's birthday today and this evening there is cake and all the naughty stuff we shouldn't eat alot of  . . . . Yep I am having a flexi syn evening but will be straight back on track tomorrow in an attempt to put things right for the rest of the week, so I am hoping to atleast have a maintain. . . . maybe for the rest of the week I should just eat speed foods :8855:

First weigh-in ~ 16st 12lbs. 6st 12lbs to go!
Week 1 ~ -5.5lbs :D 6st 6.5lbs to go!
Week 2 ~ -3lbs :D 6st 3.5lbs to go! Slimmer of the week and 1/2stone award
Week 3 ~ -2lbs :D 6st 1.5lbs to go!

Well on wednesday I had birthday cake and other naughty nibbles and used up 92 syns!
It wasn't worth it as I suffered that night feeling sick and it gave me acid so I didn't get alot of sleep

I am keeping an eye on my syns for the rest of the week until weigh-in as I still want to stay on track for my 14lbs weight-loss before xmas. 92 syns isn't as bad as it could of been and im still under my top allowance of 105 syns per week (15 a day) if I look at it that way, so a weight-loss may still be possible

I have 5 days left to eat well and (I hope) shift atleast 1lb. Think I will be dissapointed if I lose less, upset if I have a gain, but very happy if I lose more than 1lb.

Hi Terri - First of all - :happy036: Massive congrats on your pregnancy and your weight loss to date - fantastic!! Try not to worry too much about the "heavy" night on Wednesday - if it is any consolation i had rather a spectacular fall off the wagon on Sunday (both food and wine), but climbed back on and by Thursday had managed to lose 1lb - and we all know every 1lb lost is fab!

Have a great weekend x

4th weigh-in

I was really good for the rest of the week after celebrating hubby's birthday and I was rewarded with a weight-loss.
I stepped on the scales at slimming world and I had lost another 2lbs! :D 12.5lbs lost so far. :happy036:

I got into the next stone zone this week and I only have 1 1/2lbs to go to get my 1 stone award!

Still on track to lose that extra 14lbs before christmas (about 1.5lbs a week), 10lbs to go :p

I got my mum to join slimming world this week, so have a little extra support which is nice, even dad has said he's going to eat a bit healthier  though he said he isn't going to be as "good" as mum lol.

5th weigh-in

I was really good this past week, I did a mid week weigh  (yeah I know I shouldn't lol) on sunday (and I know how many lbs different my scales are from the slimming world ones) and I was a bit annoyed to see I had only lost 1/2lb since wednesday. But I kept plodding along and ate loads of speed foods.
I stepped on the scales at slimming world this morning and I had lost another 2lbs! :D 14.5lbs lost so far. :happy036:

I got my 1 stone award this week too!

Still on track to lose that extra 14lbs before christmas (about 1.5lbs a week), 8lbs to go :p

Hoping for a maintain next week as I think I will be going over my syns this week with one thing and another, but as I have done so well (losing 1st 1/2lb while being over 30weeks pregnant) I wont mind a maintain, should be possible as I usually lose 2lbs a week even though I use the higher amount of my daily syns

6th weigh-in

I had a terrible week this past week. Wednesday after group I got the munchies for chocolate and biscuits and this continued on until sunday
After being really upset with myself I decided it had to stop and had no syns from then until weigh-in today.
I ate alot of fruit and vegetables to speed up my weight-loss but knew I would still get a gain on weigh-in day, but still I wanted to go to group as I knew I needed the support.

I stepped on the scales at slimming world this morning and I had lost 1 1/2lbs! :D 16lbs lost so far. :happy036:

Still on track to lose that extra 14lbs before christmas (about 1.5lbs a week), 6.5lbs to go :p

Going to try and be good this week, as I know if I have another bad week it will catch up on me next week and cause me to have a gain.
