Indian - Dhansak/Dansak

Off for an indian tomorrow and deciding between Vegetable Jalfrezi (7.5) and Dhansak (6.5)

The thing is the Dhansak description in the menu says "chicken with lentils in our special tangy sweet and sour sauce". I've only ever made Dhansak, never had it out. Is this what is supposed to be like or is it the restaurant's special take on it? "Sweet and sour"scares me as this is really high, but google tells me it normally has fruit such as pineapple to sweeten it. Has SW assumed this argh!

Actually realised one the online list that lamb rogan josh is only 6.5! I love it too. Hmm, would prefer chicken which the restaurant do and comparing all the others the chicken is lower syn for the same dish. Do you think I could sneak it down to 6 or even 5.5? It isn't listed. Yum Yum.

It is hot sweet and sour. I usually ask them to do mine medium instead of hot. Prawn danksak(sp) is my fave. Mmm.

Depends on the restaurant. I normally avoid dhansak because they are waaay too sweet, which means they have quite a bit of sugar in there. Rogan Josh is the better choice (plus with this colder weather, so appropriate)
