Starting Thursday

Russiandoll

Carpe diem
My bumper pack has arrived so I'm set to start and have decided that 'Day 1' will be this Thursday (20th).

I did Cambridge for 10 months in 2006 and lost 10st (went from 22st + to 12st +) so I know VLCDs work. However, several terrible family crisis events between 2007 and 2008 completely threw me off track and I regained half of the weight I lost. I've stayed at that weight since despite trying to get back onto a VLCD (unsuccessfully) and tried various other plans.

I saw Exante and the price enticed me so I ordered the bumper pack. I guess the key will be the frame of mind I'm in going into this. If I assume I'll fail then it'll probably be a self-fulfilling prophesy. I need to go into it KNOWING I can succeed but I also have to WANT to succeed. If I can crack those two then it won't be such a difficult task. So - bring on Thursday! :)

Good luck :)

I'm starting thursday too and I also done CD! I lost almost 4st in 2008 but I've gained pretty much most of it back since having my daughter who is 2 next week! I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, being the reason I done CD so my weight fluctuates and I gain weight ridiculously quick if I fall off the wagon. I don't know about you but I really wanted to do CD again but its just so expensive, so the price of Exante was a huge factor for me but also my sis-in-law has done so well on it so I know its a good plan to follow. Good luck on your journey, maybe we could share our losses each week to keep each other motivated? x

Hi Sherrie.
A diet buddy! Sounds like a great idea to me. I'd like to lose around 6st (ish). Last time I had a goal set in granite and didn't pay enough attention to how I felt or looked. This time I'd like to try and be more flexible.

Maybe we could start our own thread? It'd be great doing it day-by-day with a fellow 'loser' :)

Let me know what you think

Yes I'd love that!!! My pack turned up this afternoon and I was pretty much skipping down the hall with it in my arms haha! I currently weigh 14st 1lb and would LOVE to get to 9st (ultimately) but like you I would rather be flexible with the diet and see how I feel and look as I lose the weight.

When I was on CD I managed to get to 11st 11lbs and I was wearing size 10 tops and size 12 bottoms, which to me is quite small sizes considering I was almost 12st but when I got down the same weight with SW after having my daughter, I was still wearing size 14's so I do think I will need be lighter this time in order to achieve a size 10/12 bod. 9st is like the ultimate dream for me but 10st is my goal for now.

I cant wait to start my first day tomorrow! Im really excited and as I know what Im in for, Im going in prepared. I keep looking at pics of me when I done CD and thats my inspiration, I was actually slim for the first and only time in my whole life haha.

Would you mind setting up the thread for us? This is the first forum site I have ever joined so Im not very good with all of this but Im getting there! x

I've just had a peek at your profile and noticed that you live in Gosport, so do I! Small world! x

I had Sally, she used to come to my house, she lives in Whitely but I know quite a few people who used to go to Janine x

I went to Janine - she's lovely. But with Exante at half the price I thought I'd give it a go

Yes definitely, I managed to get the price down from £160 a month (CD) to £82.05 a month (Exante) as I bought the bumper pack of 50 shakes on the Exante website and then went to Tesco's and bought just over a months worth of Ultra Slim bars, £3.50 for 6 bars. They come in box's of 3 but are on offer at the moment. I will keep my eyes peeled for when they aren't on offer as then I will just by the Exante pack for £100 as thats still a huge saving compared to CD! x
