Exante: Good idea for a complusive eater??

Hi!

I've been looking at Exante and I'm tempted by the quick weight losses, I think I've tried every diet going (like most of us probably) but I really struggle to stick to any because of the compulsive/obsessive eating :cry:and as a result I'm just getting bigger and bigger at such a fast rate, I really worry about where I'll be even a few months from now.

So is anyone else like me? How have you found it? I just don't want to start only to fail again, plus money is tight at the moment and I'd feel terribly guilty spending £100+ right before christmas only to fail!

I know it's down to me but I'm just wondering what iothers experience/advice would be?

Thank you in advance!

Hi there
I have just started exante - day 4 - i had a bit of a slip up today...ate some nuts before i even thought about it .... But stopped. I have never stopped before!
I could happily munch compulsively not even registering what was going in my mouth :( ( never really admitted that before this week) and am finding that taking food out of the equation helps. I did cd before but never without a meal. I think this is a really good plan, not easy at the mo but everyone's losses and journeys are soooo motivating
Take care x

i am/was the same.. just eat and eat for the sake of it! and drank far too much alcohol too.. i thought total solution would be the best for me, as on other diets, having the food still there i just find it hard to stop. this way, you have your set 3 packs for the day, and for me that just makes it easier..
not that it's been perfect by any means, the first few days were hard but after seeing 8lbs gone in just one week it made it worth it..
as far as the money goes, how fast would you get through £100 of 'normal' food? that's how i had to justify it, you dont need to buy any thing else for 4 weeks.. i know i certainly would have spent much more than £25 a week before!!
maybe buy a little variety pack first to see if it's for you?

Thank you so much ladies!

Well done for stopping Mrs Wobbly! I bet you can't wait for your first weight loss!

Maia, your absolutely right I'd easily spend more than that on food in normal circumstances! It just feels a lot in one go.

Is there a pack to try a week or do you have to get a months worth to get the best value?

You do need to buy a month's worth to get the best value (it works out as £25ish per week) but the variety pack would be an option as a one-off to see if you like the flavours.
Once you've tried all the packs, you might decide that you only like soups and bars, or only shakes and soups etc. so after that, you could order the bumper pack that suits you best.
Exante are also selling single products in bulk now, so if you only liked chocolate shakes and vegetagle soup for instance, you can order them in bulk for a reduced price.

Exante is really worth doing, especially if you have compulsive issues with food. It allows you to take food almost totally off the agenda, so you have to learn to cope with emotions rather than smother them with food. You also learn that you can cope with much smaller portions of food and that food can just be fuel if you need it to be.
I'm not saying it solves issues to do with food - but it does give you 'time out' to re-set the switches and find out what you want, or need food to be once you're back to eating normally.
I guess you just have to be mindful not to be like a kid in a sweet shop once the reins have loosened and you're back to 'normal' food....I'm not there yet, so I don't know how easy or hard that will be!

Good luck with whatever you decide! :D

I was a total pig before this diet, the other night I had a weak moment and put a pizza in the oven... cooked it, cut it up, took one bite, realised I didnt need to eat it, spat it out and threw the rest in the bin, Ive never been able to refuse food before this diet, its really helped put me in control
